  • how can i tell if im a male or a female? i dont know. im 12 and retarded

  • haah tht happened to mi dad before

cuz my 2 friends came up to the door ( 1 is a guy 1 is a girl )

nd my dad calls my name nd he says HEY TWO GUYS R AT THE DOOR FOR U

nd i come downstairs nd wen i c hoo's at the door i start to crack up xD

( i dnt blame my dad tho tha chik actually looks like a guy e-o )

  • i wish i couldve been born a girl its just not fuckin fair and now i gotta get shit from asshole my whole life if i wanna do what i wanna do with my life and everyone thinks "oh transvestites dirty" but im like a fuckin saint and im a virgin, people just judge me for wishing i was a girl like they dont wish they were the opposite sex at all times as well cause its a given.

  • "Gender confusion" is a false premise; if someone doesn't know what gender they are, all they have to do is LOOK DOWN.

  • You are so good! Such a natural. And beyond the fun point you're making, you have great film-making talent.

  • DO you know how many times I say "It's she not he" or "It's him not her" everyday?! Love this video.

  • that appens to me almost evey day, i dont mind tho:)

  • Hahaha. Its so true. XD

My grandfather does that all the time!

    Loved the vid. 5*'s

  • The falling vase is so random lol

  • wahahahaha...my auntie does that too....calling me he.....hahaha...and she has the filipino accent too...but she's so funny though..lols

  • Wow, I saw your videos. You are the loveliest. Just yanking the old chain - keep on!

  • You need a man. Cats are ok. But they can't give you a back rub, nor run the bathwater, let alone move the piano! OH, I forgot. A lady can do this! Nawh. See: begin ot the sentence again!

  • Filipinos do this quite a lot, I've noticed over the years. I think the general attitude is, when the time is right - you're gonna know what your true gender is - especially given, the gays etc. But I think in you're case, they're trying to tell you something - hint, hint...you need a man and that's where I come in, LOL

  • haha...ds video made me smile =)..this happens all the time wd my parents too..

i ges ds happens also to some nationality....proper usage of his and her..hahha....

  • Nice to see you can make fun of this. Probably because I'm transgendered I get very annoyed when this happens to me. Luckily not often.

  • lol funny

  • get your minge out

  • my filipino mom always does that. if its a he she calls it a she, it its a she, she calles it a he its soo wierd and funny

  • you make me smile! :) yous adorable.

  • ahahaha we have the same problem , I had this uh...suitor? i guess , once who kept coming to my house for some reason , though my dad never let him in and I was never aquainted to him , my dad started to get mad and told me "Camille! Why don't you tell her to leave already!" and I was so shocked to hear "her" that when I was at our house's gate I was speaking to the guy on the other side and I started with "Im sorry , but Im straight ..." and when I opened the door the guy looked shocked >_>

  • just when i foudn this video.

today at work, i was talking to this guy about his awesomely cute child. then i was like.. "how old is he?" and he goes.. "she just turned 1 yesterday" and im thinking... oh....crap.

  • wow! this comment really made my day! don't worry, when it comes to babies, i'm clueless, i sometimes resort to calling them 'it' which is worse!

  • hmmmm r u fil??? me 2!!!! yay i now wat ur toking about

  • Sometimes if its a busy day at work i call men maam and women sir by accident and they give me the dirtiest looks but never say anything lol!

  • I have the same laptop as you! YAY

  • haha , mine do it too .

& when they say girl ..

i comes out more like . gurr .

    giggles.. :D

  • Ya, my grandma does it all the time. Usually when she ask me too do something, she will call me she, and my sister a he. lols

  • Like one time my relatives were celebrating someone's birthday at this restaurant and according to my uncles this girl was checking me out.

First they said, "Hoy, he's checking you out." and I was like "WHAT?!" Then they lip-pointed at this girl who was singing karaoke by herself. I was like "Ohhhhhhhhh." I was so relieved.

  • hahaha no it's not just your parents. My relatives have a hard time translating "he" and "she." It probably happens to a bunch of people who speak different languages other than English.

Hahaha That probably explains why filipinos do that pointing thing with their lips when you look at them in total confusion.

  • ha ah ah

my house mate is like that too. because chinese only has one spoken word for he and she too...

so she always says he and she for the wrong sex

  • :) my wife is Japanese and she does that all the time, even though she is what I would call very fluent in English, must be the sound is similar to them or something? dunno anyway its funny isnt it. :)

  • im 100% filipina;;;

i know wat u mean my parents are like that loool

  • hah

thats what myparents do in front of my friends....

    its horrible D:

  • AH! lol yeah when they do it in front of my friends i get so embarrassed lol! =]

  • what is really confusing is when i am talking to my other half and there is M & F in the convosation it is all she ? now that is confusing

hahaha Natz i can relate to this vid

  • that's very true nat LOL

my parents rarely say he... they call everyone "she"

and we get reprimanded when we correct them or whenever we become a "pilosopo" lol

  • jon where u been! haha, SAME HERE, my parents usually say "SHE"

    haha pilosopo

  • im from the philippines and moved here in the US... i always interchanged the he and she... that sucks....i tell you we know that the person is a guy or girl..its just because being too careful of using the right pronoun ends up using the wrong one. I also kind of thought about this myself why i always ended up using incorrect pronoun... and you exactly hit it...we only have one pronouce that pertains to guy and girl....

  • My parents aren't Tagalog, they know how to speak it though, but they still mess up with the he and she. It's all Filipinos!

  • you're right marc, i meant to say it that way but it came out as "IN THE PHILIPPINES." hahaha!

  • haha, yeah, it's weird though, 'cause your explanation made sense to me until I remembered in Ilocano that they have a word for he and she.

  • really??? what is it? haha, a lot of my friends are ilocano, they were trying to teach me but it's so hard!

  • HAHA, deng, most of my friends are Tagalog. I could understand a little bit of both, kind of.

For a guy it's lalaki and a girl is babai.

  • ohh, haha that's Boy and Girl in tagalog too. haha, but when they need to say He or She, they use "siya". =]

haha, there are more Ilocanos in Hawaii because of the plantation days, I think thats why most of my friends are. hahaha

  • OHH, my fault, well, I think there is only one word for he and she then, an online dictionary says 'isú'. My fault.

  • nah it's all good! thanks!

  • pnoyapp shirt holler! =p

  • haha you noticed! =] <3

  • im mad as hell and not going to take it no more

  • word. =]

  • oh sorry natz! i just now saw this video and that you submitted it as a response! hahha, and of course I totally know what you're talkin about here haha ;-)

  • lol noo it's okay! haha yes i'm definitely sure you know what i'm talking bout!! =]

  • OMG Christine finally responded. I love his videos!!

  • lol! his videos. you so silly.

  • you're so stoned!!...thats right im back only to tell you that ur stoned..nats the flip uses drugs!!..so beware people...beware..she smokes crack thats why she was up til 5a.m...shes stoned

  • LOL AGAIN!

  • hey! you know where this would be cool as a post...on Bakitwhy! haha :)

  • oh man that's right!

  • i just said that cause i actually missed you..give me a shout out eh

  • yup!

  • i like this video! :D cool nats!

  • in spanish 'her' and 'his' is translated the same. so I know what you're talking about.

  • i love it! my parents do it all the time!

  • OMg awesome vid nat, ur totally right about how some filipino parents get confused or something. My parents are like that too. lol =) cheese hahah

  • hahahahaha!!! same here argh its annoying!

my mom was like HOI bianca he wants to see you!

I was like who? who he?

    tita bing

er? mom.. tita bing is a girl?

    HAH? I know dat, why?

because you called tita bing a "HE"

eiiinako bianca he wants to see you NA likanaa

    :P

lmfao sorry haha it cracks me up

  • this was interesting to watch. lol nice camera skills.

  • LOL! "Dad stop watching" hahaha - Your so mean !! :P

  • If it's a language barrier thing then people probably get offended. They probably don't even notice lol.

  • wow interesting. natalie your such a cool dude, I mean girl!

  • lol! awesome vid

my parents get mixed up ALL the time..

    so funny

  • lol my parents do this all the time! they sometimes even get me and my sisters' names mixed up haha!

  • LOL!!! Awesome video topic. When my sister & I watched this we were RELIEVED to know that we're not the only ones who experience this hahaha...she is a he and a he is a she hahaha...great video! :-)

  • yay im in hawaii!!...hehe

  • Hahahaha! My parents do this all the time, hahaha! The english language is so confusing!

  • my dad says that all the time :|

  • Just totally repeating what everyone else has said but yea, my mum does it all the time too. I sometimes corrects her and she goes says 'he, she, whatebeh' lol

  • Yep! Mom does it often... and many fam members and friends. :) I just answer no matter what.

  • same here, but sometimes i really don't know if she's referring to me! but it's so funny.

  • that was funny! "Dad, to I look like a girl?"HAHA LOL!!!!

  • my mom and dad always call me a he!!!!!

  • lol thats what my mom and dad and uncles and auties do, maybe they are just confused.

  • haha .. confusion outgrows to something worse at times..

  • hahaha

my chemistry teacher was from the Philippines and she always did that to us in class. She also started talking about her son getting married to "him" and her daughter having a girlfriend but then she would call her daughter a he and I was just totally confused at one point.

    :)

  • true

with "siya", its hard to recognize if its a he or a she

    PS

yay! i heard you speak some tagalog

  • i know it's so bad! oh james, teach me. haha.

  • haha... i think its okie.

but i want to hear you speak a whole "pangungusap" =>sentence

if not on ur vid, maybe on our next chats

  • OMG for some reason, i'm the one that calls people "IT" i'm so terrible! Not all the time, it just slips.

  • yea it's in the filipino blood. :]] Lol

  • If you think that's bad, try a romantic language like French.

    No. Neuter. Pronouns. At. All.

  • happens with my parents ALL the time...i sometimes do it too x__x and if the word 'siya' is genderless, then it probably means 'that person' to filipinos hahahahaha xD

  • that's funny, i do get confused on using he/she sometimes then quickly correct myself.. you must be right, its because of 'sya'.

  • i love bangus, especially da'eng--the spicy boneless milkfish!

  • hahaha so funny. i hate it when my parents do that to my friends.. omg. but oh well, guess it just confuses them to go from siya to him her he she lol.

  • my family always does that too!

and they even mix up me and my siblings' names..

  • i could totally relate..haha

  • theres a sign that says DIRTY on the dishwasher! hahahahahhahahahahaha

  • i saw that too. haha, that's actually pretty smart.

  • my dad calls me the wrong name all the time. idk if it's just him, or me, or if its cuz he's filipino.

  • omg ate, i know how you feel! LOL!!!!

  • haha,lol xD

  • hahaha, this was great! I totally understand what you mean. It happened to me ALLLL of the time too. I knew my mom was saying it incorrectly, but I never corrected her. Thank goodness I knew better and didn't start speaking that way! It is really great to see the Filipinos on youtube talking about things that you would probably find nowhere else. This has to be like... a cultural revolution type thing or something.

  • cultural revolution thing yes! haha, i know i love seeing people on youtube talking about these sorts of things.

  • OH YEAH did you see the "dirty" sign on my dishwasher? you guys should make one! jk.

  • lol both you and Regisor have now referenced this section of the video to me, and for two different reasons. @ 1:26 Regisor says "in the background you see how I solve the problem" wait... is he talking about the sink and sponge, or the sign??? I just figured he was saying that he does things the old fashioned way. HAHAHAAHAHAHA!!!! Oh lord! So I wonder if he uses the sign???? Regisor!!! Shed some light on this!

  • In my comment to you, blasianFMA, I said "you can see how they (Natztheflip and family) solve the prob at 1:26."

I was referring to the "Dirty" sign on the dishwasher. Didn't notice the sponge, but yeah I do use that now. So it sorta still made sense.

  • by the way, in the beginning when you say "this thing is sooooooo" when you say "so" you sound like Bree from Desperate Housewives to me. hhahaha!

  • Hahaha my mom always calls me a he infront of ppl hahahaha.

  • omg belle that's when it gets embarassing!

  • i have the same problem sometimes XD

  • HA that's hilarious. I didn't realize there was a gender/language issue! very interesting

  • gotta love the filipino family.

my mom's side is known for that.

lol, i saw comments about multiple names,

oh god, that was killer as a child.

till they finally said the right name.

    love your videos nat :]

your friend mike came to my birthday party back in february :p

  • haha yeah! so many people have that multiple names problem! omg you know mike!!? aw that's soo cool!

  • hahahah lols.....HE wants his certificate!! lols

  • bwahaha! my parents and my grandmothers do that allllll the time. XD

  • my parents (aunt, uncles, every old bilingual person i know) do (does) dat, I think it happens alot to ppl who are multilingual, especially if the other language doesnt focus too much on the whole he/she thing, in Nigeria, i think we have just one word for address dat, more like a "they" than a he/she...

  • oh wow i see! i think i need to brush up on my knowledge on other cultures, seems like a lot don't really focus on the he/she thing.

  • hehehe ahh yeah it happens to filipinos everywhere :) my aunt keeps it fresh by not only calling us he's and she (for my sister's and brother respectively), but by cycling through all the names until she gets the right one. and, yes, i'm the youngest of four, so i get called all 3 names sometimes before my own lol <3 "jingjing, ah clarisa, ah jayjay, josette!" XD bahaha anyway great vid, i was wondering when you'd post one <3

  • yes my parents do the name shuffling as well! thanks dear, i know i'm so sorry that i'm slow with videos!

  • HAHAHA!

    my mother always does that!

and she often calls me by my sisters name. and i'm like uhh thanks mom, my name is simon. how hard is it?! only have 2 children!!!

  • haha simon! oh man, if i had a brother, and my dad started calling me his name, i would go nuts.

  • lol yea my dad does that he/she thing

  • don't worry baby, you look like a girl

    a FIINE girl.

  • stephen, you flatter me. <3

  • When i saw you had a new vid, i got so excited!!!

My mum always does that!!! lol. i always end up correcting her. and we all just laugh.

and seriously, it happens so often, you'd think they'd finally stop making the same mistake! hahahaha. your shirt is soo cool! i love the blue/aqua purple.

  • haha but they never stop, no matter how many times you correct! haha tankies johnee! i know, i'm so slow with vids now damnit! my shirt is from pnoyapparel they have really awesome clothes.

  • haha, yes yes.

and i should make a "dirty" sign for our dishwasher too.

  • i just love how you always notice these things anthony. <3

  • haha...so true..i was born here but my grandparents got me mixing up my "he's" and "she's" when i was younger...

  • oh justin, mixing the he's and she's as a little kid?! oh my! lol.

  • Lol I just wrote a paper on gender :P

  • really??? interesting, interesting.

  • Do you have a brother? maybe your dad is hinting to your mom that he wants a boy. lol j/k

  • oh minh you are so funny. i want a brother! haha yeah, maybe he wanted a boy. ahh he got 3 girls instead!

  • Lol, I feel sorry for you. :P

  • aw me too. haha, but it's okay!

  • hahaha thats true, my mom and alot of my aunties do that

  • i know, my mom's entire family does it. haha

  • LOL! You're a girl! My mom does it all the time and I think it's hilarious...

    That "Half Pinoy" Kid,

    infused08

  • Oh dear, I hope I'm a girl.

  • Oh Natalie I totally get you.

It's similar in Chinese. When you SPEAK IT, there's no different genders when you say stuff like he, she, him, her, his, whatever and my mother ALWAYS gets it wrong but I ALWAYS correct her lol.

  • lol garbo! i'm getting kind of tired of correcting my mom because no matter what she always gets it wrong as well! haha. oh dear.

  • How in the world can people mix genders?! =/ Aren't there tell tale signs? lol I'm sorry girlie =)

  • lol!! i wonder the same thing!

  • dis is so true....hands down!!!....i see day guitar hero 3 on da bak ground!!!hehehe challenge u on it???

  • haha i'm totally up for a CHALLENGE! i'll go easy on ya. nah just kidding, what level do you play on, i don't want to seem like such a noob.

  • hehehe..dont wori im not expert yet....but i could play sum songs in expert...hehe!!!

  • like "mamsir" in the filipino malls. HAHAHA.

yeah my parents call me she all the time

    <_<

  • haha yes! haha no worries patrick, as much as our parents mix our genders, they love us. haha.

  • my dad mixes up my sister's name with mine which gets annoying and a little scary. i also saw a guy dressed as a woman go in for alterations...yeah...that was weird.

  • so like 5 different people told me this so i guess it's totally a "parent" kind of thing to do! don't worry david, my dad does it all the time.

  • my mom makes the same mistake but shes armenian haha

  • haha really?! it's okay i feel for you.

  • it was really embarrassing she would call my guy friends she/her and my girl friends he/his

  • I know that I'm getting off topic here, but my parents do gets confused with names. Like they call my me my sister's name and vice versa. It's a common mistake though.

    Your a pretty girl btw.

  • aw thank you <3 and my parents totally do that too don't worry! i have 2 sisters and they say their names before they get to mine.

  • hahah!! truly awesome video on that topic! i loved it! <3 the scenarios are soo entertaining too! yup, a lotta filipino parents refer to males as shes or her and female he's, him, or his. =D I LOVE YOU!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3

  • i lavaa you kits. thank you! <33

  • That happens to my parents, too! And when I correct them, they're all like, "Oh, it doesn't matter." It's rubbed onto me, too, lol.

  • haha yeah they tell me "ohh it's the same thing" haha, i'm like "uhh no??" haha.

  • Hahah my parents do it to, but not with he or she. When they're trying to call me they go through all my sisters and brothers name before finally getting to mine. I'm just like 'Hello?!' I;m obviously NOT my brother -.-

  • lol i just wrote the same thing before reading your comment <3

  • lol! my parents do the same too, it's hilarious.

  • Nat!:) haha! That was GREAT! You made my day again! And i hart ya muchos! <3333333333333333333333333333333333333333333

  • ANISH i lava youuu muchos!

  • ahh yes the filipino mom or dad mistaking the gender same in the malls they call u mumsir its like a combo of "mam" and "sir" like if there gay thats why sum do that now im rambaling. but GOOD VIDEO i can relate so much even tho ima guy hahah

  • lol mamsir! haha i remember rex navarette talking about that! thank you i know you can totally relate.

  • lawl. I love when you talk about filipino things. 'Cause all of us filipinos can relate.

  • aw Lv, i appreciate it! I love when you guys can relate.

  • lol don't worry...my parents mix up he/she all the time...it's their thing...ahaha...I don't get offended...and i feel the same way ahha but it's cool though! nice vlog Natalie :D

  • yeah i'm totally cool with it! it's just so funny. thanks chianalie! =D

  • Glad someone addressed that. Happyslip definitely points that out in some vids, but I think some people don't get it.

Well, at least the parents always have a 50% chance of getting it right!

    Love the vid, Natz!

  • thanks reg! haha 50% chance i know! but it's just funny how it always turns out wrong ehh? haha.

  • Wow, um.....that's awful. Do Filipinos mix up gender because of the one word "siya" or is it something else? Your dad should stop calling you "he"; that's bad. Also you're 100%cute, gorgeous girl. Nice shirt, you look beautiful in it. =)

  • aw thank you <3 yeah i think it's because of the "siya"

  • Well, I talked to jokway about it and he said that yes "siya" sounds like "she" in English and "he" is so unnatural that Filipinos don't say that. Please don't correct your parents on that or else they will spark hell on you.

  • my chef, tho she speaks five languages, is filipino so her first language is tagalog and she does the same thing all day long... the hilarious thing is tho, that she never switches. by that i mean that she always calls guys 'she' and girls 'he'. idk why, LOL.

  • haha really?! that is just hilarious.

  • omgsh my mom does that ALL THE TIME. i get in trouble for constantly correcting her =x

  • aww haha it's okay renabette! i feel for you! haha
