@smokesignal216 thank you for your comment, but the correct form is exactly "vnaxav" (ვნახავ)
its forms are: me vnaxav, shen naxav, is naxavs, chven vnaxavt, tqven naxavt, isini naxaven.
actually in Georgian some verbs end with "av" and "am" based on different factors, but the main rule is that if the initial form of the verb ends with "va" (like "nax-va") it will end with av in future tense (vnax-av), but if it ends on "ma" (like "cha-ma", to eat) it will end with "am" in future tense (vch-am)
@okillli I still think I am right. Here is my explanation; Vnaxav means I will see the other person. Vnaxam means I will see myself. Again I will see a city, should me vnaxam. Again I will see them, him or her is vnaxav. but again, check it with a language professor. I think it is wrong the title. I like to believe my Georgian grammar is still pretty good even though I left Georgia at age 5 & my step parents spoke not perfect grammar. So please do check for me with a language professor. thanks.
@smokesignal216 sorry but still can't agree with you, there is no such word in Georgian "Vnaxam" is not correct, in all cases you should use vnaxav, it means "I will see" no matter other person or not.
For example even if you will search "vnaxam" in google, it will have only 943 results and the top result will be your answer to this video :D and if you search "vnaxav" it will give you 322000 results.
I live in Georgia all my life, and know which is grammatically correct in this case
@okillli that is not how you check on a word. you got dictionary? do you have a dictionary website in georgian? we always said vnaxam & that is how all georgians I speak to say. now you tell me that word does not exist, maybe you are right & the correct word is vnaxav. maybe depends on what part of georgia you from but I am talking how they talk in tbilisi & kutaisi where I am from. yes I am 100% georgian raised by georgian step parents. I am christian & they are jews. Now live in hell AKA USA.
@smokesignal216 there will not be the "vnaxav" or "vnaxam" form in the dictionary, it contains only initial form of the verb (naxva). But you can recheck it through various poems, literature and articles, where "vnaxav" is used, and they are rechecked multiple times before being published by different specialists including language professors. In addition to that I studied Georgian gramatics in school + everyday life and I am 99.99% sure that this is correct (one can't be 100% sure in anything)
@smokesignal216 its nice that you are Georgian and you remember that, hope you have possibility to visit Georgia sometimes :) and its good that you try to retain everything what you have Georgian, including language. Good luck, contact me anytime if I can help in anything.
@smokesignal216 it is very nice that you are interested with Georgian language.
Were your grand parents Georgian? This mean that you are partially/fully Georgian living abroad? I wonder what your nationality is and where do you live now?
@okillli Gogochurebi - Kidevac Vnaxav Xevsurets (should be gnaxav or vnaxam according to the meaning but definately not vnaxav.) I noticed man7 Georgians are not speaking correctly, but most americans do the same thing.
i am totally in love with this song, amazing and it is a major source of inspiration for my art!
