  • how far does it go on one charge. 15-20 miles ? how long do you need to recharge the battery ?

  • what is the difrence between electrical and non electrical kmxs

  • Nice video man, it looks really cool.

  • really love your bike

  • your video made me puke in the middle of my epileptic fit!

  • can you do me a big favour, i have a electric kmx kart also . i am finding it difficult to source some decent mirrors like the ones you have. i am broad and need those longer reach ones that you have. can you tell me pleaes where to obtain some ? regards, rob.

  • how did you mount the battrey to the frame?

I have my bionx pl350 kit coming this week. Waht kind of range are you getting on you trike also?

  • Great Video, Thanks for sharing.

I have just purchased a KMX Tornado and thinking of adding a BionX electric system as well. My only concern, is/was the size of the battery and it it would fit the small space behind the seat. Which motor and battery are you using?

Also what size is your rear wheel? My wheels are 20" at rear and 16" in front and 7 speeds.

    Thanks again

  • What is the speed and range that you have gotten. I have a kmx x-class and want to make it an etrike

  • It looks weak and worthless. Typical video hiding is actual performance by the use of close ups on wheel spinning with fast music to simulate speed. The only performance actual perfoamance shown is a 5 second clip driving 5mph around a downhill corner. You tubers please stop with the music covering real time performance and sound.

  • Apparently you can fit a 26" wheel to the KMX large models, woudnt that increase speed?

The handling on the new 2008 models is a vast improvement over the early frame geometry, I rode them at Interbike in September.

I'm just waiting for my 2008 Kart now..

  • Only if you go to small tires and thin rims. Since it is equipped with discs it could be done, but you have to change the front wheels too. 24" with 2.5" tires have almost the same size as 26" with a 1" tire. The ride is harder because you have to have more pressure in the tires and the overall weight of the trike (especially with a motor is) is quite big.

I tested the prototype at Interbike too and I was so disappointed. Your comment has given me back my hope for an improvement.

  • I woudnt worry about a little bit of extra rubber weight. Following your logic if you use the 24" with a fat tyre then you have the equivalent of a 26", so you would still have to change the front wheels?

The Kartss I rode at Interbike were production models. Everyone I know proclaimed the obvious improvement over the early type. The new models felt and looked way better. I dont know why you were dissapointed, were you expecting something specific that didnt manifest?

    Thanks.

  • Good to hear. Very cool bike, have fun:-)

  • How has reliability been? I'm not having much luck so far...

  • Very good actually, I did the wheel myself. Didn't have a 24" kit so I took a 24" Dirt-rim and fat DT-Swiss spokes. I did a 100km special tour with fans of our local soccer-club to the cup finals this year in it was raining all the time. I got wet, but the BionX just worked fine.

  • You have any issues with the PL-350 battery charger not charging?

  • Check if you really have received a 40V charger. If you take a 36V battery it always means that it has a range from like 40V tops down to 30V empty or so. There were some chargers around that only did charge up to 36V which is quite frankly toooo low.

Other issue: Do connectt the battery, the charger switch mustr be off. Connect the charger to the plug, switch it on. If the battery is full, do the whole procedure in a reversed fashion.

  • How fast (mph) can these things go?

  • their website says 20mph in europe, 25mph in america

  • y does it go faster in america?

  • Normaly the 250w system is limited to 16 mph due to road legal regulations. But it can be unlocked to 20 mph. The 350w runs in europe under the 250w label and limited to 16 mph with higher torque. there is a 500w version that is not limited, being able to top out over 30 mph. the 250w nimh though is quite enough for the kmx 'cause the agile steering gets quite nervous over 20 mph.

  • Hello,

I have a TGA electric tricycle. I am looking for information on how to make it more powerful, as the moment it just does not go up a hill. Unfortunately around me there are nothing but hills. I live half way up one!!

I wonder whether you could help by sending information or guidance of where to find it.

  • i'd love to see a non negative imposition version of this , couldn't make out the part in the beginning of the vid.
