  • At the time, US leaders considered the Battle of Coral Sea (BCS) to be at best a tie, maybe a tactical defeat since our ship losses were greater. But in truth it was a strategic victory, because the US was able to thwart Japan's military goal of capturing Port Moresby. Luckily, the Yorktown survived to provide a contingent of the Dive Bombers that sunk the Japanese carriers at Midway, and the Japanese lost more planes and pilots at BCS.

  • Its the CHINESE we have to beware of now, we AND Japan.

  • @4freespeech i do not believe the chinese are a threat, they need to be a part of the world, they rely on it so much. when china expands its armed forces its made out to be a bad thing, when every nation has a right to, but when say america or indeed australia do it theres nothing wrong with that. sounds like double standards to me. and remember the chinese have never waged a war of aggression in "their" history, how many have the USA done since '45, and Australia supported most.

  • Hurray for the US. And our Japanese allies today.
