There was another Japanese scientist who did studies on changes of H2O molecules, and he pretty much solidified how miniscule changes occur around the globe, but is unnoticeable from human perspective.

As I understand, serious consequences of Chernobyl reached far beyond 15-20 miles. 19 miles was just the radius of evacuation zone where still almost noone lives. If all serious consequences of Fukushima are within 15-20 miles, then it can't be bigger than Chernobyl.

i always thought this myself, im no scientist, just a critical thinker thats always been interested in this kind of thing. He doesnt even go into the cumulative damage that will be paid in the human cost due to this exposure. Just look at papers containing data about dental x rays and cancer risk. These things tend to come to the surface and rightfully so as a length of exposure of long periods of time as most dangerous. But it will be too late at that point to do anything.
