@wahinepaddler4 hahaha. my mistake was that i dipped the first one is the candy shit, and that made a MESS. and the seconds ones i poured the candy on them. lol. :)
You have to mix very well the frosting and cake so you wont have any lumps AT ALL. As for the chocolate, next time put shortening or oil to thin it out NEVER put water it'll become a mess if you do.
u are too funny!!! i love that last part.. i am philip defranco...i like his vids. like the other have said. freezing is the key. if i have to make them right away i freeze for 15-20 minutes. if not, i freeze them on a cookie sheet, then bag them for later use. I agree with you too....they are tasty, but too sweet lol
What I usually do is bake the cake, cover it freeze it. It makes the cake SUPER moist when you take it out and let it thaw. From there, I throw it in a big ziplock back, dump some icing in and mix it together in the bag. I ball them up, and put them in the freezer for about 10 minutes. Then, I melt the chocolate, and dip them in. I use the fork to hold the cake. They are supposed to be like truffles, completely covered lol. But they are tasty either way!

did you freeze then first?
Also I use an "egg dipper" for dying to dip the frozen balls into the chocolate.

i used a meatball scoop thing to make the balls, 15 min in the frezzer, than used my hands to drizzle the frosting stuff.
