We were made to watch this about 28 years ago as part of our RE course (which was actually just Christian Education rather than Religious Education). It baffles me how a) our northern English school teacher could possibly imagine this would make any sense to us as 12 year old English kids and b) how anyone could watch this and not laugh at it's naivety, it's cheese and it's overall ridiculousness. We did. Quite a lot.
I don't how many times I have seen this movie , mainly in the 70's, and 80's. Our Church would play it, as an outreach tool. Many souls came to Christ , because of it.
Praise God! I actually saw this in a Theatre, when I was 12.
I'm a raised and baptised Lutheran Christian, saw this in Church in the 1970s, very, very long ago. I was pretty intense at my age, and I watch horror because my buddy loves the genre, I'm not really a fan, but this had a reality feel that scared me I suppose. He talks about the wood weapon here, I believe what is not mentioned is a "nail" on the end of the wood. Hard to tell from the opening
i watched this in RE last week its suck a good film!
