I had a crazy gold chocobo/desert rose glitch. After i got the airship in disc 2 i was talking to the peeps in Kalm town & i talked to that one guy that wants some items like the desert rose & apparently i had 'invisible' desert roses, i got like 6 gold chocobos... before the game froze on me with the gold chocobo just walking in place.

mine glitchs on the psp, first of all the music plays 50% too fast all the time unless its and fmv. and it also rarely crashs where all the text and backdrops go all fuzzy and pixilated! = / i think the music is it due to being the pal version?

I had this happen in this exact spot as well as many other places. I was so pissed when I got to the first boss, Guard Scorpion, because it would ALWAYS freeze whenever it used Search Scope.

The best way to fix this is either get a new disc (you could try cleaning it) or just keep leveling up your characters and enter each boss fight with your limit gauges full so you can just get it over with before it freezes.

I had to do this and I left the first reactor at level 16.

And ebay has several different ones on sale right now. As low as $28.00. How long did it take me to find this??? about 45 seconds is all. And like I stated earlier try resetting the game first. Then cleaning the system, and disc. Before looking to get another copy. Real tough situation to fix.

Sucks when you get a glitch like this in FF games.
