In the case of David. Jesus did the very same thing!
[2] And behold, some people brought to him a paralytic, lying on a bed. And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Take heart, my son; your sins are forgiven.”
(Matthew 9:2 ESV)
Jesus forgiving sins like he is God himself??? Then Jesus says he lays down his life for the sins of the world. If there is no need for sacrifice, then why did Jesus who forgave sins like God, lay down his life for our sins, if there was no need 4 it?
Really, that's not what Moses taught, repentance and the sacrifice went together. Of coarse if someone offered a sacrifice without repentance then it is in vain, but likewise if you repent without a sacrifice it is in vain as well. Through Jesus being the sin offering for us, repentance and accepting Jesus is sacrifice accompanied by repentance and it keeps the laws of Moses.
I read this psalm the other day and your video reminded me of it...also I learned during Pesach for the first time; that when the Isrealites sacrifieced the lamb in Egypt it was becuase the egyptians worshiped the lamb.
"...for you do not want sacrifice, otherwise I would give it; a burt offering you do not desire. The (correct) offerings to God is a broken spirit, a broken and humbled heart; God you will not despise" (Tehillim 51,18-19).
