When I was 10 or eleven around 1961 I just loved Del Shannons runaway.Still one of my all time favorites.Those days prior to the beatles had some great tunes.Tossin&Turnin,Anyday Now,100 lbs of clay,Palisades Park....Alot of great artists&songs.

@andyinoregon Southern Pacific was a spin-off of Creedence Clearwater Revival and The Doobie Brothers. The best version of Southern Pacific were the members from the first and second albums, which featured lead singer Tim Goodman. That also included the duet with Emmylou Harris.
When doing this album Nils was looking for another song to cover and Dee Robb of Cherokee Studios said what about I Go To Pieces and bring Del in sing with him, that Del lived right down the street.
Nils said it was fun and they sang using the same microphone.

nils was born in chicago, played in the e street band, neil young's band, crazy horse and grin....i think he qualifies as american!
