Don't listen to the negaitve things said on here. The people who are mostly speaking aren't even violinist. Let's see them do it. Everyone thinks they're a critic on here LOL. Rolling in the deep is a very beautiful piece so fits the violin perfectly. You are very young so yes keep practicing, don't compare yourself to others. They might have been playing longer. If u have friends who play split it in 3 parts so every sound is playing, maybe then ppl will hush. Keep up the great work!

Suggestion....learn to really feel the energy of the song. Look up David Garrett if you don't know of him & listen to stylistic transitions of his rock covers to violin and also his modern adaptions of classical songs.

I'm with dljc1979 on the lack of instinctual rhythmic feel. Once you learn the notes, just let loose and let the song speak to you. Right now, you're just playing the notes, not the song. It's a good start, but keep going! ;)

your rhythm is off, good otherwise, try your own instincts to find a good rhythmic feel, some of those strings sound a little flat... and it's a little bit too fast... and it's totally unsuitable for violin anyway... try it in a different key...

@dljc1979 I wouldn't say that it's an unsuitable song for violin, but I do agree it lacks rhythmic feel. A *lot* of players I've heard on youtube so far, have that problem. The flutists are just as bad about *just* playing the notes and not the song. *sigh*

@PhoenixBlackthorn very true. But however, there needs to be all different parts. Soloist can't perform songs with just a solo the whole time. That's why there is violin1, violin2, violin3, and the viola music sheets. And together they cover all the notes and the rhythm. Without them the soloist can't ever make every sound. Been playing 23 years now so I know a thing or two. Give her a break and all the soloist, that's how it is. In an orchestra that's why it fits because all together. :)

One quick tip, don't play Vibrato ALL the time I mean its cool and all I really like your vibrato but don't play it on short notes, like quarter notes, 8th notes, 16th notes, it doesn't sound right... Only play it on "long" notes.

@muzuffle idk man do you know what kind of a violin 6 grand could get you??? a pretty damn good one... I got lucky and got a hand crafted romanian one for only about 1000 and it sounds very well. so yeah 6 grand is a lot for a violin that won't be used professionally or in any way more than just school orchestra or self study.

@CornDoctor Actually I do know because I have a violin that's worth that and I'm a 13-year-old student. Some of my friends, who are as serious about the violin as I am (which is very) have violins that are worth even more. Mine's a pretty good quality Cremonese violin and it was only 6,500. It was the cheapest in the store, though-- others were up to 80,000.

Secondly, I teach violin, and am going to be starting a web development business this summer. For another, I'm an advanced programmer and through my dad who owns a computer-based business, I will have many outlets in which to make as much money as I want a year with my skills in the computer science field. For a white, I think I'm doing pretty damn well.
