Shorty before his death, it has been claimed that Ayer confided to his attending physician, Dr. Jeremy George: "I saw a Divine Being. I'm afraid I'm going to have to revise all my books and opinions."
The presenter is an absolute joy imo. Very sharp and asks great questions. Presenters today could learn from this; all television about science or philosophy is nowadays is smart people being asked stupid questions by stupid presenters.
@Stygian9 So true. Also, they tend to focuse on what cool stuff science can do. Like mythbusters. And "Awesome Machines" and whatever shit Discovery spits out of it's rotten mouth.

Great I love it a great Philosophical thinker like him smokes. Which shames you so-call falsr ;iberals who critize people who smokes. Fuck you all in consistant liberals who deny the pleasure of smoking for human beings
the world felt stupid after watching this "philosopher" speak. It's quite amazing how Frege is generally equally credited for moving logic ahead in "continental" philosophy as much as Husserl while the analytic tradition out of some sort of extremism which has no place in philosophy is incapable of reciprocating, despite Frege's own own views on this.
great video thanks

@djs259 Yes, he also confided to me, his friend, that he saw a flying spaghetti monster which will render all his previous books and opinions null.

He never got over missing that penalty when he played for Leeds Utd against Sunderland in the FA cup.
Philosophy was his only comfort after that.
