@decipherRob I dunno... I never had a problem with that... I just chose the option to record in Time Lapse, and everything seemed to work out... You might contact JVC customer support with that issue, maybe they might have some insight... Good luck!

Yeah, sorry for the late response man. I would definitely recommend this camera. It's great. The time lapse videos actually look a little better on the computer before you upload them to YouTube. Other than low light videos, this camera does pretty good for everything else.  (Especially for the price.)
