you can capture videos with the command "cl_capturevideo 1" ( 0 = off ) and you can use slowmotion also with "slowmo x" ( x = Number). 1 is normal speed , over 1 faster , under 1 slower ;) i might try fraps, maybe i get better quality

i wouldn't capture that much at all because the file gets very big. you should compress it after you captured it ;)

The laser is a useful tool for starting momentum needed for some mad bunny hops. You can also use it to jump sky-high. I'd like to see an actual match rather than just a video put together out of clips, so that I know just how good the Nexuiz Ninjas are. This is [SwS]Lee_Stricklin and I've just begun to invade Nexuiz and so far there haven't been too many players that I've seen on my skill level yet.

After playing Jedi Knight in high school for a couple months, I saw one guy doing that all the time. I use to hate him for it. But then I noticed how it would increase your speed... then everyone started hating me. It's harder hitting a jumping target. Plus, if you trigger explosives, you might avoid the shrapnel and use the impact to launch you higher. DEATH FROM ABOVE!

i play this game since its uuh 2.1 release i think? well i dont know but i like it, its fast and twitchy just like my favorite. i juts wanna know if it at all a popular game. EG: is there alot of people playing 2.4? are there alot servers and if so theyre not al mosty empty exept for one having like 18 people in it is it o_O.

Have you checked out 2.4? It's a vast improvement of 2.3. It's the community that makes this game great too. If there is something you'd like added, sign up for the forums, explain yourself :).

Nice vid. I bet you played Q3A a lot, eh? UT maybe? I missed Q3A but I played Quake, Quake II, UT'99, UT2k3, 2k4 and 3... (among other fast-twitch)

While I respect releasing a full game and engine under the GPL (really, that's a great thing because other 3D/GPL suck worse than this one!), comparing this to UT3 will make any hardcore gamer cry. I hope the engine gets some major optimizations and tweaks as well as graphical improvements :X

You need to be used to it though. Make sure you're ok with the "insanely fast" genre, or it'll be really discouraging.

Also, what screen-recorder are you using (video guy, not metar)

He's probably using demo recording, and then the video recording feature of DarkPlaces (the engine itself, cl_capturevideo 1 wich records directly into raw, uncompressed avi).

And he's using the engien from the SVN repo (experimental, WIP).
