  • @KrazyKunuck101 There are 2 CCXR Special Edition, 4 CCXR Edition, 3 CCXR Trevita ("Threewhites [Swedish]") and besides from those low production names there are the ordinary CCX and if you pay for an upgrade you get the ethanol (CCX-R version). I dont know if its that simple, but somewhat around there!

  • the BEST part is, that this monster does the same power as the bugatti with HALF THE ENGINE SIZE, HALF THE AMMOUNT OF POWER ADDERS and half the price ;)

  • @kphillips012 I wouldn't really compare the two. The Bugatti yes is way heavier, and way more understeery, etc. Oh yeah, and it costs more. But what market is it designed for? Its supposed to be the fastest, most mental luxury (basically) supercar around. Its meant to be refined. Thats why it costs so much.

    By contrast, the CCXR is none of this. Its raw, fast, and unhinged. Nothing like the Bugatti, but by far better for what its made for.

  • @420Vali Have you taken the time to "build" a CCXR on there site? to contradict your statement the CCXR is quite luxurious inside with custom handmade parts and sccessories. and the CCXR is also a modern engineering marvel due to the fact that it is a SINGLE V8 pushing the same HP with half the power adders as the buggatti :) i do respect your opinion tho, both cars are fucking amazing lol

  • @kphillips012 Sure, but the level of refinement, especially in handling, road holding at very high speeds in the Bugatti is by far higher. I know which car I'd rather drive at 253 mph. I think the CCXR is by far more the enthusiast's type car though.

  • @420Vali im not tryingto be rude here.. but how would you know? lol the ceo at K Christian von Koenigsegg main goal was to create a "veyron ss killer" the aerodynamics on the CCXR let alone the AGERA R are out of this world alowing such a powerfull beast to be able to drive smooth at speeds of 230+. but alas the ccxr is a dieing/ dead breed. the Agera R with its 5.0L Twin SuperCharged V8 producing 1115hp (to the wheels) on e85 WILL eat a veyron in all aspects :)

  • @kphillips012 I'm not trying to be rude either- I'm just saying you can't really compare the two. Other than that the CCXR/ Agera R are almost certainly faster.

  • @kphillips012 What I find funny is everyone is saying Koenisegg is producing Veyron Killers. Yet not a single one of them has taking any sort of record from the Veyron let alone the SS. I'd rather have the Agera but it won't accelerate as fast as the SS nor have as high a top speed from what I understand. They are doing the same thing SSC is except SSC actually held the record until the SS came along. The Veyron is also running a fraction of the boost and RPM to make that power.

  • @iPROFITDON VW won't let Koenigsegg use their track, that's like saying "I'm stronger than you because you're not allowed to compete", the agera R will easily out-accelerate a veyron ss, but only when using biofuel which can be hard to find sometimes, top speed should be close (on E85). Despite the higher diplacement, the veyron ss is running more boost than the agera/agera R to make that power (1,5 bar vs 1,3/1,4) and produces a lot more CO2 emissions, almost twice as much (not that I care).

  • @BLgt1 lol I don't doubt they wouldn't let them.. But SSC was able to run 256mph on a stretch of highway, not having a track to make a top speed run isn't a relevant excuse in my eyes.. Your right, on E85 it would not need the higher boost to make the power given E85 is basically 105 octane. However how do you figure the Agera will out accelerate the SS when you can watch the CCR spin through a full gear from a 60 punch? IF traction wasn't in the equation it sure could, but it is.

  • @iPROFITDON That stretch of bumpy highway was far from ideal and I doubt doing something like this in Sweden would be easy, but I agree, it should be possible, just a lot harder because of the location, how hard it is to shut down a highway in that country etc... Tire conditions is very important, the agera has larger stickier tires than its predecessors, DCT, advanced traction control, launch control, a much more linear powerband + the ccxr in this vid barely spins first gear (good conditions).

  • @BLgt1 Not sure if the twin turbo v8 in the Agera R has a more linear power band than the twin supercharged v8 in the CCXR, but that's just a guess. DCT doesn't mean it will spin less and like I said, traction control will kill power somewhat to keep it from spinning. Every Koenigsegg so far has all had Estimated top speeds except the CCR where they actually took it to a track and ran 241 tapped. Unless this car has slicks I really don't believe it will out accelerate the SS.

  • @iPROFITDON I'm comparing the dyno graphs and yes there is a massive difference: the ccxr's powerband is very peaky and the agera has a completely flat torque curve. DCT means smoother shifts at WOT therefore upshifts won't break traction. The CCR did 241.1 at Nardo (oval) on a humid day, the veyron reached 249.8 on that same track (Auto Motor und Sport), in good conditions. I remain confident it will out accelerate a Veyron ss above 80 mph unless it's on a crappy road or with worn out tires.

  • @BLgt1 Nice, I'd like to see those graphs. Good point, the DCT would give smoother shifts. We will just have to wait and hope that Koenigsegg finally shows some real numbers instead of just estimates claiming that it will kill the killer. Even if it could keep up with the SS after 80 that jump up to 80 will be ugly. Remember if the Agera R runs, it will be on a higher octane fuel than the SS as well. I'd rather take the Agera over the SS but still don't feel it will accelerate the same.

    - Agera / Agera R => koenigsegg(dot)com -> newsrom -> press releases -> download PDF -> page 9.

    Compare the torque curves. As for the rest, as you said, right now we can only wait and hope. Btw have you seen this /watch?v=phJnn8Jc9Uw despite the passenger I expected quicker times, especially from 0 to 200 (headwind maybe?).

  • They need to have a super race with the top fastest cars of the last 2 decades. Which would be these cars:

    Saleen s7tt VS Veyron ss VS CCXR VS Mclaren F1 VS 9FF GTR VS Zonda R VS Ultimate Aero.

    That race would be the most extreme race ever. And I'd have to put my money on the Porsche or the Aero. But lets if Mclaren wanted to make a new F1... I'd put everything I own on that. They accomplished what all these car makers did with 400 less horse power. Theres no car that can compare.

  • That rear spoiler was long overdue.Remember the Stig lost the "normal" CCX on the TG track.Christian von Koenigsegg really deserves respect for getting this whole project of the ground.Just watched a documentary about it,and he had his share of obstacles and bad luck.The "factory" burning to the ground days b4 the unveiling at the Paris autoshow,saved the ONE car,JUST!Investors pulling out,and so on.And now look at Koenigsegg.A respected maker of supercars,AND making money.RESPECT!

  • 1004 bhp? Just have to correct you there, it was claimed that the CCXR had 1018 bhp, but after further dyno tests it was announced that the CCXR has 1064 bhp. And for possible wise asses im talking about the Edition car.
