This film is serious, dark, grim and realistic, with a great job of director, and very beautiful photo and wonderful soundtrack. Excellent production in all dimensions, I think one of the best thrillers I've ever seen. No room for white lies and absurd nonsense, an adult movie (notice when Foxx explodes kidnapper head, not politically correct, but perfect ).

colin can act but the decision to give him a mustache was completly devistating to the film. he simply did not come off as sonny crockette. the mustache got in the way, AND WHY!! who's stupid decision was it to put it in? the character never had a mustache! it was a completely stupid move. they also shouldve colored his hair dirty blonde. just some dumb moves, not to mention not having a real solid story. fact is HEAT shouldve been miami vice.
