  • One Björn every minute! LOL

  • If It Wasn't For The Nights was done on the MIKE YARWOOD SHOW 1978. Agnetha looks from side to side as she sings "staring at the wall." As part of a comedy bit, they imitate their host's sissified catch phrases. Agnetha says she is exhausted from playing the piano since she was six. She is irresistible on Thank You For The Music as she winks and points to her head, pouring it on with the golden hair.

  • This is so good I had to keep reminding myself that this wasn't really Larry. It's so different from his Jimmy Saville British Rail advert sketch in 1981 where Mike rushes through reading from autocue cards and is total crap.

  • I can remember watching this! (Probably at the time wearing my ABBA T-Shirt, ABBA scarf and ABBA necklace...bought from the Official Fan Club at the time...and yes...I still own them!)

  • This is so well done to begin with I didn't realise it was an impression!

  • 1978

  • Which year was this?

  • And you've been playing the piano since you were 6? Yes and now i'm exhausted :D I LOVE ABBA :)

  • ABBA's simply the best ever !! x)

  • "Everard" !!!! and "Oo...i could crush a Grape" Ha ha You godda Love Larry Grayson !! "Shut That Door"!!....Mike Yarwood Fab...! :)) Lovin' all this..!

  • look at the muck in here! soo cute! <3

  • Pretty good, very funny !!! and i love ABBA here on MIKE YARWOOD, they are fantastic and so beautiful!! Great video and congratulatins!! hugs from KIKO

  • Wonderful clip, and Abba were really good sports! Great to see a truly fabulous impressionist with a truly fabulous band!

  • Really enjoyed that - Thanks :-)

  • Where can I find Yarwood's Clough impersonations?

  • @WiseOwlOfGallifrey Just look at Yarwood's Jimmy Savile sketch on here. :D

  • mike yarwood always mimicked people with love and respect, talk of sexual bias etc. is bollocks!

  • I don't think a comedian could mock a gay man like that nowadays.

  • @Cool2BCeltic He isn't mocking him, he is impersonating him. If you watch the real Larry Grayson, he has him to a "T".

  • mike yarwood cannot be touched by anyone to date. His talent is missed on tv greatly but it was his decision i wish there was some more to see on youtube.

  • That was Janet Brown doing Isla St Clair.

  • Nice to see Bjorn & Agnetha looking so loved up - just as they were about to announce their D.I.V.O.R.C.E

  • funny one frida at 4:549 to 1:50 haha i luv yooh frida such a fan of hers xoxo

  • these jokes are rigged. They planned them all before so obvious

  • Isnt this larry grayson and not mike yarwood

  • @garethohe

No, it's Mike Yarwood impersonating Larry Grayson.

  • I like ABBA forever

  • That is so shit...... I love it of course.

  • hahaha! it made my bad dat good! l luv abba!

  • good show, funny host,

    and......

ABBA... you are so wonderful in that show esp. Bjorn and Agnetha....... they are so cute! love Agnetha's purple glittery costume and i like Bjorn more because his outfit.. he is like a cute boy there....

    good video....

  • he was the best impressionist for years - until rory bremner - i loved his show and i loved Abba - about 13 when this was first shown - happy days

  • nasplimp, How right you are, brings back so many happy memories!

  • What a fine comedian! He based this sketch on gay innuendos and so funny is it! I remember this stuff as a child, mom and dad sitting down to watch it and never missing it from week to week. I loved it as a child and only now can understand the pure talent this bloke has. Thanks to my mom and dad for watching this stuff and helping me to understand comedy.

  • Ooooh, look at the muck in ere!

  • He was bloody good, looked just like Abba.

  • He gave a great deal of pleasure to millions I guess. Pity there is no one that good in todays TV

  • 03:58

  • I actually remember this at the time. I would have been 7!!!!

  • Wonderful and funny:D Mike seems pretty drawn to Frida in the beginning of the show:D Can not blame him, she is pretty hot in that costume:D Thank you Abba for all good childhood memories, I think you are a fantastic group!

  • I haven't found an outfit that Frida ISN'T hot it....she rocks them all, especially sleveless, bare shoulders, bare midriff and thigh-high boots!

  • 'Cause I must wash my hair

    LOL

    I luv Bjorn!

Well 'There's a Bjorn every minute'

  • Is Mike Yarwood still going? If so, who thinks he should host a new series of the Generation Game as Larry? If Paul O'Grady can host Blankety Blank in character, then why shouldn't Mike be able to do something similar?

  • Here Here! He's brilliant. - Can't name one, not one comedian these days as good as the 'oldies' - Bring them back!

  • In the mid-1990s, Yarwood had the chance to return to the stage as prime minister John Major, but failed to re-establish himself before Major's premiership ended. He claimed that one of the difficulties in impersonating John Major and Tony Blair was that they were 'nice guys'. In 1999, he underwent treatment for depression at the Priory Clinic, Roehampton.

  • no, the poor man sufferd from stage fright in latter years, wictch seems ironic consisering how confidant and talented in these scetches

  • the background laughs seem to be regulated by means of a switch. ON and OFF, play laugh and pause, play and pause.

  • His joke that Frida "can wear blue" is interesting; she probably would not want her and Agnetha's colors to get reversed. People with red hair often avoid reds and pinks. I knew a woman with bright red hair, and when she was growing up, she was not allowed to wear red, pink, or purple.

  • what does he say at 5:07???? can someone tell me please....

  • he said "In't he big?"

  • What did Mike say to Benny at 4:31 ?

  • He says 'I loved you in Crossroads'. Crossroads was a popular British soap opera on TV from the 1960's to the 1980's. It was set in a motel and one of its most popular characters was called Benny, a simpleton in a wooly hat who was employed as an odd-job man. 'Crossroads' was revived briefly a few years ago, minus Benny.

  • Thanks very much for the information, demon27dan!

  • I love this ABBA sketch! It sounds so cute when Frida says: "Shut that door!".

  • Agnetha in tall black boots! Merry Christmas!

  • agnetha would have won miss world..mega mega gorgeous

  • hahahahaha that man is hillarious!

  • I'm having a hard time controling my laughter. It's funny. They truly have a good sense of humor

  • The scetch is really funny. Too bad that one is not released on the The Album DVD!

    Thanks for sharing!

    ; -)

  • Probably the funniest ABBA clip I've ever seen. :D This is on the just released ABBA The Album Remastered DVD extra. Killer! Thanks for the smiles. Peace!

  • @7ABBA7 Than I'll buy it tomorrow! Thanks for the info!
