    Youtube search:

"How to Make DIY Outdoor Backyard Home Theatre for cheap or practically for free using window blind"

  • I wonder what the neighbors would think seeing a movie playing on the side of my house.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • "...we don't want anyone getting electrocuted for the sake of a movie"

    --- Poor Mace Windu

  • cool. im so glad to know that there are tech geeks out there that still like to show this much enthusiasm over creating projects selflessly for ppl

  • Why would anyone want to drive around for a spot to watch a movie projected through their windshield? I'll take the comfort of my couch and TV any day

  • You cannot recreate the drive in experience and this looks very lame.

  • Don't worry if the sound and visual quality are less than stellar. That's how many of the low-end drive-in's were like!

  • so u burn x amount of gas to watch a movie........ these hippies better not talk about a gas guzzler again

  • I like to watch TV inside the house.

  • that was awsome. like the movies in your back yard

  • they now have blow-up movie screens for your backyard.........

  • ur going bald

  • @sofranko101 so will u muhahahaha

  • Badass.

  • Just carry your big screen out to your backyard and plug it in with an extension cord. We do this and watch scary movies at night in the summer.

  • we kind of done minus the invert (115 AC) and still shoot out a rear window inside large tent that has white sidewall make bigger then any LEDs screen 72in, playing video games only, its get warm just from projector.

  • cool

  • Looks like shit

  • i would LOVE TO MAKE ONE!!!

    ~GS~GHOSTSeekers

    5starz

  • Wrong! Derrann, CHC and others still make tons of Super 8 brand new in 2010. The amount of film on 16mm is endless. Still a strong drive-in and film community here. Video + drive-in = just doesn't cut it.

  • HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA GLENNDERINE!

  • true nerd star wars

  • pretty neat trick

  • Glen ''NO'', .... NO

  • through the window?!????!

  • Nice idea for man!

  • great job man! where can u pic up a cheap good projector? im in oz say 100-300 bucks

  • i have the same dvd player =]

  • Cool beans!

  • useless :)

  • That's just what I was looking for, great video, thank you!

  • do you have a drive in theater by you?

  • i do but it would be freaken sweet to have on in your front YARD!!!!!!!!!

  • i , must agree with you, i luckily have a white house, so sometimes i just project across my whole house, its not perfect but its fun for a bit!

  • "dumb-barGirl007", probably spent "X" amount of time drinking in bars to not realize that everyone doesn't live near a drive-in movie theater. Next thing you know she'll be complaining that she wants her 3 minutes and 51 seconds back. Idiot.

  • Best way would be to take a 4x4 piece of finished crezon and stretch the sheet tightly

  • Never hook up battery leads like this guy did! You want to FIRST hook up the positive lead to the battery. SECOND you clip the negative lead on a ground(away from battery or anything else that is EXPLOSIVE)

  • he say attached the negative first then the positive...

  • this is COOL id like to do this in my yard and have a movie party and put up a huge ass screen and broadcast the soundtrack on the FM channels and just play movies.

  • LOL

  • me and my godfather made this

    fucking gr8

  • my friends and i did this with halo 3 on xbox live in his backyard at night haha

  • plug it in!!

  • With gas prices these days, it's a great idea to just idle for hours just for the sake of a movie; not to mention pollution, disregard of idling laws, and public performance law infringements

  • I was wondering if anyone would mention playing movies in public, as several colleges have been busted for doing that very thing.

  • your an idiot...he said turn it on, not start it up. It would drain the battery or blow the altinater if you left your car on for that long, unless he had a seperate power source...you dumb democrat.

  • No, he says, and I quote "keep your car on," and what exactly does "keep... on" mean to you? And for the record, what the hell is an "altinater." And who's my idiot? Because "your an idiot" means I own one. Did you pay attention in English class? The homonym is "you're," a contraction of "you are."

  • lmfao!

  • Can you tell me the entire name including brand of the FM Trasnmitter please? Great idea!!!

  • Makes no sense.

  • ok..

  • are you going to take a 52 inch plasma tv to a bondfire, camping or trip where you #1 can't bring a 52 inch tv? #2 Can't even plug a tv if you bring one and #3 dont have where to put it or even worse, breaks downs because the jackass that you're provably break it even before using it..

  • Well maybe if you didnt spend your whole day making potato olays at Taco Johns you would know how to do that you dumbass muther fucker

  • Well, actually, any camper can be equipped with most of the modern things you find in a home, including satellite TV, DVD players, stereos, etc, along with the required hookups for said gagets.

  • It sounded awesome up until the part about how yuo have to keep your engine on for the whole 2 hours LOL... that doesn't burn much less gas than driving

  • This guy cracks me up

  • i think this is stupid, it's sad to see that more and more drive in theaters are closing so i think it's better to go to them while they last

i know there's probably a lot of people who aren't fortunate enough to have one near by, but c'mon! this can't recreate the experience of being at a real one, plus you'll look stupid doing this in your drive-way, if you're gonna watch a damn dvd do it in the house! you can't watch new movies this way anyway unless you buy bootlegs

  • The results of tying a sheet in front of your garage is weak... but the overall effect is cool. You can buy a inflatable screen - which is very expensive, but for $140, and a afternoon of effort, I built a screen 14feet high by 24feet wide using 2x4's and heavy white vinyl, pulled taunt and staple gunned. with 40 to 50 people over in the backyard, its a blast. while having a BBQ on the porch.. Don't forget to invite the neighbors, so this way they'll keep their back yard lights off.

  • it may be a public display in (c) terms, and u certainly can't charge. Also I would want to check with the fcc, because they will get pissy if you use a transmitter, good luck

  • good if your friends are thieves or just stink really bad and you dont want them in your house!

  • Get an inflatable screen instead of a sheet.

  • sorry for my ignorance but i dont have much time living in the us whats the copyright law??

  • Umm..Ever heard of a TELEVISION!!!

  • no fucking duh they've heared of tv. its called how to make a drive in theater! dumbass...

  • if you drive back and forth is it like 3d

  • @Dan1234111 LOL

  • good idea

  • only in america...

  • lol, yeah!!! what is wrong with taking it indoors and actually having your friends in your house?

  • He didn't say that. He SAID, be sure you are on PRIVATE property, your own or someone else's that has given you permission. NOT PUBLIC property, which is when you might be violating copyright law. Try LISTENING before you accuse.

  • "braiking" the law? yeah learn to spell at a minimum third grade level before you lecture this guy on the law.

  • TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!!!

  • your at a house do you not have electricity, very informative video

  • he's giving an example, a lot of the MOBMOVies aren't at houses, but parking lots (with permission) with a white wall

  • ouch, more pollution.

  • That's cool but, you're wasting fuel. And if you park with the engine on for over 3 minutes, you'll get ticketed here in B.C.

  • do people in B.C really watch for people who run their car and have bean parked for 3 minutes?

  • Ha. What a stupid law.

  • clever

  • I love this!! I truly miss the old drive inns of yesteryear.. This is the second best thing..Good for you.

    Forrest

  • we have one here in Wichita called The Starlight Drive-in

  • Do it for one tenth the cost and make it authentic by using a film projector! 16mm and Super 8 projectors can be had for around $150!

  • and one need not worry about driving off with the drive in speaker still in the window

  • cool
