The ancestor of people who claim as "pure" Indonesians were originally from Southern part of China, who mixed with the Indo-Malayo natives of South East Asia. Many of Indonesians also have Chinese, Arabic, Indian, Tamilese, Dutch, Portuguese in their blood.
