hey medic, i would like to get your thoughts on something. my mgt 4.6 stopped moving, but when i took the trans apart like you did in the video i find nothing wrong. the shaft pins are intact and every gear seems fine. no bearing issues either. took the clutch bell apart and haven't found anything wrong in there either. what does that sound like?

How did this happen? You must have been doing some pretty crazy stuff with your truck. I have an MGT 8.0 and have done things like truck pulls and haven't had any problems. Though, i will never do a truck pull again since you can see how much stress that puts on the drive line.

hey whats your words about those small palm sized gas RC cars and truggies(<love them) cause there pretty cheap. 100$ you cant go wrong but will they hold up to some abuse. and how esay is it to gt parts

@ 1:42 thats what my steering servo looked like when i opened up the case... haha the gear was horribly stripped...

thanks for fixing i fixed mine my clutch shoes wore out and then when they were replased that happend.

just wondering can u take apart the mgt 8.0 transmission and put it in a 4.6 housing/casing. stupid question is there a way to change the direction of the reverse gear. like to go forward instead

im surprised you broke the steel transmission. the thunder tiger transmission in my mta4 has held up to a large overpowered brushless setup just fine. maybe this was a caused by a bad batch of gears? have you had any more problems with the 8.0 transmission? im planning on fitting one when the one the MTA4 explodes as a $125 upgrade :/

@fathead431 Oh yeah.. Ive beat that truck pretty hard actually.. lol... I had another transmission already for parts... Only broke it once before last year.. but this one was more serious... Mostly a great transmission though... thumbs up ;)

The problem with MGT8.0 is that it's tooo powerfull compared to the europeen model known as MTA4 S50 where as the engine is only 2,6 hp compared to a 5 hp for MGT's.

Have also a Nitro car, but never ran good. Can not adjust the engine good. Have ordered from eBay England, and cannot go back to dealer. I wanna ride also, if I see your vids hehe :-)

i have a traxxas revo 2.5r and it does not shift into reverse it will sit there and rev up. is it an adjustment or striped gears

could be an EPA adjustment on your controller.. also.. if that doesnt work.,... tear it apart.. have a look inside.. carefully

I'm debating whether you just edited it together, or you bought two new pieces because the stripped gear was screwed to something behind it, I thought you'd just unscrew it and screw on a new one, but it looked like you got both new.

Lmao.. My friend.. I hate to admit it.. but I have so many RC pieces.. that I had a spare one in another mgt parts transmission ;) Thats the "magic" of it..  It was just fun to do for the video.. to make it a littl emore interesting.. and a little less technical
