I'm all for justice against convicted pedophiles, but I don't think killing a pedophile is a fair approach to him, well, having sex with 14 year old's. That calls for a severe mental evaluation, with a trained therapist, not a brutal hanging. Pedophilia isn't a choice, it's something you are basically born with.

However, Hailey tells him that "Aaron", the supposed murderer, had said the same thing, which begs the question, did his friend actually commit the murder...? Backing up theory that Jeff really did murder the girl is his final decision to hang himself. Although, I do agree this was an idiotic move, completely out of character, but I enjoyed it.
