@Truthrevealed21 Get your point, but you forget 2 things. 1)Not ALL vets are cons. 2) Many people are complete idiots & not all of them should be doing this themselves.
My problem with some vets is the selling of a product simply because they get a bonus for it--my vet always tries to sell me this Royal Canin shit. (Human drs do it too.) that's a shame, but your diss is wrongly placed. This vet is simply being informative.
Another greed story from my vet. I had an older cat who was sick and needed to be put down. I called to see how much it would be. They told me $125 and $135 if I wanted to be there while they were doing it. Then she started discussing pet burial. Anything to make money. I told her that I would just let the cat die at home for free. Pet medicine is big business and if you can do a few procedures without a Vet visit, you should.
Why should anyone bring a dog to the vet to express their anal glands when they can do it at home? Vets do nothing but con you out of all your money. Pet medicine is big business because they prey on your emotions. Learn how to do this stuff at home and you can cut out those expensive trips to the vet.
@Truthrevealed21 We are sorry that you feel this way regarding veterinary medicine. We are in this business because we truly love animals, and we want to be there to help heal and care for those pets and owners that need us. It is true that an anal gland expression and nail trim can be done at home, but many people would rather not do it themselves or may have a pet that has difficulties with their anal glands. If so, we are here to help.
Some are in the business because they love animals. But some are just as greedy as the worst car salesmen. On one of my vet visits, the veterinarian kept coming in and out of the office with me and one of my dogs and every time he came back in, the price of the treatment kept going up. I had to pay him $800 by the time I was out of there. And this was for something that MIGHT have been wrong with my dog. He must have saw me coming. I haven't been back since.
The title makes it sound like a porno.
