i am pretty sure a real TKD fighter wouldn't drop their hands while fighting. these guys drop their hands left and right.
so either they are goofing around, or are terrible fighters. I only say this having trained in TKD for 14 years and doing a lot of competitive fighting. Droping your heads almost always means your going to get hit if you are fighting another good fighter.
Woow this shaolin monk is amazing, you cant hit him lol, this is what i call a real fighter, he would smash the mma guys, and lets not forget the ancient shaolin monks were much better
this is nothing more than a fairy exhibition. taekwondo man is totally shit, doesn't get stuck in at all and could have tested the monk properly if he had any balls. u can see monk's potential, but in the one attack he delivers, tis also exhibitiony and lame, not delivering impact. u can however see the speed and agility of he monk and i do think that if they were somehow forced into the MMA cage to defend their lives, no man could get very close to them at all
I don't think of myself as clever but I am a student of martial arts and here I am stating an informed opinion. When MMA first started there were many very highly skilled stylists...masters of tae kwon do, judo, etc...each soon lost because each style could be overcome by another style. It was quickly realized that a MIX of styles was the most effective combat system. The fact is that many of these highly stylized forms have become as much meditative devices as methods for defeating an opponent.
@shamaladingdong12 Yes, yes they do. Meditation helps to relax the mind, the more relaxed you are, the more you able to think rationally and plan your next move. Once you become angry you expend more energy and lose a certain amount of control over your body. Do a little research before sounding so condescending.

He uses snake as a defensive and offensive style, but that's just one style he knows. He probably knows many.

Yea thats snake fist you can tell by how he blocks, if you've ever seen a cobra or rattle snake strike, very similar movements... Taishan

It looked like snake fist. Not sure though. He was just kinda using that stance to feel the opponents.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
They're both so locked into their forms...neither would last a round in an MMA bout.

The TKD exponent is a five times world champion, and the monk is a 32nd generation Shaolin Monk.
