in combat soldiers have to shoot first and trust the facts as they appear at the time seeing this video for the first time i can say that i would have pulled the trigger to it looked to me from an initial viewing like they where armed and the fact that the ground team said the AO was clear meant that the "journalists" hadn't informed the US forces of what they where doing either way at the time it appears to be the correct course of action and within the ROE

The Apache crew, IMO, shouldn't be blamed because they were reporting what they saw, and received the order to fire from leadership. If anything, their leaders acted on crappy intel and should probably have gotten in big trouble. What WL fails to report here is whether or not the responsible party was held accountable.
