  • Nice design and all, but why dont any one show the hands after they have washed off the mehndi it self, to see what it really looks like, dark coloured design/pattern looks amazing its when it comes off the pattern even thou in great detail never comes out like that...............where is the satisfaction in that.

Seem detailed designs before they never come out in such detail, that is my opinion ....

  • This is sooo beautiful!!

  • It's coming up to festival, summer season agai i have one message...

STAY AWAY FROM EVIL BLACK HENNA.

I love henna and cant stand the use of so called black henna it gives a beautiful artform a bad name. Recently i have discovered Jagua it too is black in colour and lasted about 10 days. Far better than risking your health for art.

  • @pgtips666 is black henna really eveil in the summer, cuz Somalian people put black henna, so I'm just asking, plz reply back...

  • @ddtwins456 When she says evil, She is not literally saying it's evil. That's kind of stupid, it's a plant. What she is saying is that black henna is henna mixed with hair dye or some other chemical to make it darker which can cause burns to ur hands n serious health problems. I don't know what somalians use. Maybe it's a special breed of henna called black henna or may be it is the chemical one. Stay away if its the chemical one.

  • @ddtwins456 Chemical that is added is called PPD which is known to cause cancer n other serious problems. Just stick with the real plant. Find a good breed that gives of tons of colour. Try doing the lemon, sugar mixture. It'll help darken it.

  • It's good but a bit of the hand is missing and it looks like a big gap for some reason.

  • my result is aways so light, and it faids away so quick :( is there something i can do get a darker result and to make it last longer?

  • @95fa you can and i put it on at night and let it stay over-night but to get mine darker i put rubbing alcohol on it and vicks (the medicine type thing)

  • check out FreeHandMehndi channel, she has videos about how to darken your henna with tea or walnut shell powder, hope that helps. :-)

  • can i ask somethin', does lemon make the colour lighter or darker?

  • i hed darker bu not too much as it wil make the design runny whch wil ruin it

  • A mix of lemon and sugar applied after the design's just begun to harden (sparingly) will make it darker, as it keeps the paste wet longer which means it has more time to stain.

  • hey girl where r u from, who did this dope design. i want one. i love it..

  • thank you very much...

  • how can i get very good red color? lots of henna doesnt give perfect color.witch brend is good?

  • singh is good, singhar is good, you get better colour on your palm than you font side also if you apply lemon and sugar mixture onto dry design it will enhance the colour.

    hope it helped!

  • yh n the mixtue make sue its not too watey or it will ruin ur pattern also NADRA mehndi is a gorgeous mehndi to use it gives a real red colour

  • Her designs are amazing. I really like this vid -- it shows all the stages, without it being tedious and showing it in real time.

I'm gonna have a go at this tonight on my little sister -- what else are they for, right? :)

  • the mehndi looks stunning!!!

  • Assalamualykum warahmathullahi wabarakatu!WOW sister such beautiful design.Mashallah.I will try it on myself one day.Thank you very much for sharing.Allah hafiz.

  • col ich möchte auch

  • i wish iw as a s good. ig to some henna but im tryignt o figure out how to do this.

  • keep on practicing, u'll get there one day, one tip is 2do little designs

  • Great tip! I am just starting to practice, still trying to make the right mixture to get a good stain. Not too successful yet though! Any other good tip? Will be greatly appreciated!

  • 1. Make sure you buy quality henna to begin with, that's the most important thing in getting a good stain. Jamila is amazing.

    2. Make sure to add a terp after dye release then let it sit another few hours. Either Tea Tree, Cajeput, or Lavender oil.

    3. Make sure to wait for dye release before applying. If you have it covered in a bowl, wait for the top lay to oxidize (break through the top layer and underneath the henna should be a dif. colour). If you have it in a baggie, place it on a...

  • paper towel and wait for the paper towel to show colour.

    4. Make sure the "canvas" is completely clean and you allow the henna time to develop by letting it stay on overnight.

Other than that, you should have no problems. Exact recipes won't make much of a difference so long as you give it time to release its dye and terp it. Make sure you're not using a cheap brand from a super market, that it's not old, and that it's not meant for hair, as these won't stain as well.

  • WOW!..beautiful!!

  • I want to get married just to have my hand dyed with henna ^.^ the design is fantastic,i tried to make a design for myself but wasnt good at all, i thing that this tool is better for designing than syringes, (I used the typical moroccan syringe) how can i make this little tube? I Hope to have an answeer!

  • wow beauty mehndi but i want very slow design

  • When I do a full bridal I only use about 2 1/2 cones to do both sides of the hands & feet too because my lines are so fine

    Good luck with your henna

  • that was all done with one cone? wow.

    really great design.

I am doing my first mehndi design on myself tonight!

  • Can somebody please reply and tell me where i can buy henna other then on the interent as soon as possible! Thank you so much! And, somewhere in mobile perhaps?

  • sorry i dont know bec i'm in france so it's different, here we can buy it in the asian shop (indian, pakistani, mauritian etc...) i think u can find it on internet make a research on google sorry!

  • Yea, i know you can buy it on the internet, but i mean its kind of risky because you have to put your credit card number on the internet and people might try to steal it or something. So, I dont know, but thanks!

  • u can get mendhi anywhere dependin on were u live. just walk in to any asian clothes, jewellry or beauty shop and ask. on my street alone there are four shops that sell mendhi. gud luk in your search

  • wow this is just AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • dis is a really nice design

  • is the prettiest desigh i have ever seen

  • To Get a Dark Mehndi Colour, after it gets dry wrap hands in a plastic bag and sleep. The hand will sweat hence the mehendi will become alive again and work as a double colour. Its a trick i used from years. And results were really satisfying.

    Try and let me know

    Takecare

  • I tried that once, problem is the mehndi dried and fell of really soon. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? :)

  • For keeping mehndi longer (ovoid fall) You can apply sugar and lemon lotion on ur hand by using a small cotton ball. Hopefully mehndi will stick to ur hands.

  • i've heard lemon wil give a good colour to the mehndi

  • wow thats cool

  • i have a question.

in my school we're raising money to lower the price of prom. and for that i'm doing henna. and my question is that what pricing should i have for: front, back, front and back both, a stream from the finger to the wrist, e.t.c. depending on simple and complicated. thanks :)

  • You learn it from experience. i started off doing palms for a dollar and business was doing good, but i was exhausted bc there was so many people. For high school i would say

    PALM: $3-7

    BACK: $3-7

    BOTH: $10-15

    STREAM: $3-5

Don't sell your self short but don't overprice. We all know how hard we work to do this, and this is a great way to make money. But a word of caution, make sure they know that whatever there going to get is there for around 2 weeks.

    Hope this helps!

  • TIP: for dark affect of mehndi dry mehndi by a heater....

  • very nice

  • omg--such a beauty--

  • wow!! that must have required tons of patience... beautiful work!!!

  • ITS SO PRETTY!

  • wooooooow this is most beautiful disign i ever seen woow masha alah!

  • henna can't expire, can it?

  • Um.. If you mean the paste, then yes, henna can expire.

  • the powder can expire as well, i keep my powder in the freezer where it will last several months, also if i make a paste i'll keep it in the freezer until its needed. Its organic, it has a shelf life no matter what. If u buy anyhing off a shelf thats henna powder OR paste, you don't know when it was harvested or mixed and therefore could have a very weak stain. :D
