Of course you can. I love rock and alternative music. Bands like Pixies and Faith No More, while not to everyone's taste were ahead of their time and pushed musical boundarys, likewise Soundgarden, real virtuoso musicians and songwriters. I don't criticise bands simply cos I don't like them, there are plenty of bands who i don't necessarily like but can respect. Britain has produced some amazing bands like Radiohead, Verve etc but I weep for the future if this is lot are the best we can do
