Hopefully will be playing next year applied for a scholarship and got an interview. Which colleges are like the best? and should i look out for. Sorry guys i'm from the UK.
damn i wish i was there for this game... i can't believe pontius was still playing in 2006. UCSB got pretty far this past season, i'm just sad that i'm graduating this years and won't really get to enjoy the college cup :( go 'CHOS!
7Rapeking - i have advice for you. Play football because you love it, play all you can and practice all you can, develop both feet by kicking a ball against the wall, basic stuff. I was semi pro, my team won the mid lincs/ nottinghamshire cup until i snapped my ankle on trial day for the big clubs in England. Watch the game and anticipate it, sounds simple but is harder than it sounds. Learn the passing game, learn to control the ball and....stop calling it soccer.
I think a venue shouldnt be chosen before hand to host a cup cus then this happens. Two southwest coast schools playing in some snowy place, it seems very unnecessary when they could have just played somewher in south california where all the fans are at.
damn american soccer sucks xD dont wanna hate yall good at baseball football and stuff like that but not in soccer xD ... i got a question what is the NCAA ... Collegesoccer ? so that are students and they show the games on TV ?? if yes... damn i wish i could live in the usa xD ...
Yea the NCAA is college (National Collegiate Athletic Association). These kids play for their education and the name in front of their jersey first, then eventually they all hope to turn pro.
No pro contracts at age of 14 in the states, sorry.
@jcsalas1 ignore him, he has no idea about football (soccer lol sorry im english so ya know) i think in the past few years you guys have stepped up your game, your standard is alot better than before. even though i live in london and football is big here, i actually want to go to america to play college football (soccer, sorry lol) keep it up USA
@erselsenadam LOL unfortunately for you americans want an education and want to live "The American dream"... let me ask you something, Im pretty sure ur not a professional SOCCER player, and since ur not from the US ur not educated, so then what do you do? ohh and one more thing, why are you on youtube? dont you have some lawns to mow? tables to clean? or whatever you 3rd world countries do for money, goats or whatever your form of currency may be
First I have to say good luck on applying. And as a Gaucho Alumni I hope you do choose UCSB, it's a lot better than UCLA in many ways. And if you are a soccer fan there is no better place than Santa Barbara.
We are hosting the College Cup in 2010 - would be a perfect time to make a campus visit.
omg, these guys play very well, im not sure if i kind make it to the team and get a scolarship... u seems to play for one of these top teams, do you have any advice for this young soccer player?
@jcsalas1 actually ucla is the better school honestly i know we each have our opinion and mine is ucla is better its because they have a better staff they have ex usa players and coaches on there staff which helps them out alot
Of course these guys have nothing on english soccer because this is the college level dumbass; they are not pros. But from your comment I could tell you never recieve a university education, unlike these soccer players. Some coming from Europe and deciding they don't want to be like those morons on youtube leaving ignorant comments.
