  • what can I say? I think Takayoshi is more better than Syu <3

  • Just Perfect.

  • The pick of destiny is a chip of Satan's tooth, it causes guitarists to play quickly and with amazing skill, Takayoshi obtained the pick of destiny and thought it was to slow, so he chipped his own tooth instead... much better

  • Why do all Asians have the same hairstyle?? dress the same??? are very similar and often identical why are not more original in the way they be?

  • @Shirakiin its ok! don't worry I speak spanish =P i usually don't see asian people for that reason i think they look like similars, it's the same when they see latin people..

  • that moment when he plays faster than guitar pro

  • That is the most effortless circle picking technique i've ever seen. This guy is my new hero.

  • esse cara toca d+ é pra se foder (y)

  • cant really take my eyes off his right hand. He has probably the best icking technique and hand discipline Ive ever seen.

  • I think he's cheating... Blond + Japanese = Super Sayin

  • A guy better be good at guitar looking that effeminate.

  • Ninja soloist

  • ex 1 ... easy

  • The beginning sounds like some Joe Stump. Though Ohmura-san is quite an amazing guitarists, definitely one of the best in the world. Not to mention he's quite young, I shudder to think as he gets older how amazing his technique will be...

    Amazing stuff as always though!

  • and he copied steve vai`s skills with his sharingan !

  • @ananartik - Hey, we don't know that... Only that his outfit and nails are red! Haven't seen his pupils haha.

  • @snookies13 that`s the level of the asian sorcery dude you cannot do anything against it

  • 1:21 Love that little tap on the 21st or whatever fret X-D

  • Wish paul gilbert seen this, I think he would love it. This guy has so many things that are similar to him including his phrasing, timing, and, technique level.

  • @spakattack Send paul a message on his e-mail, he replied to me in 2 days, it absolutely inspired me to just jam shit out and get better.

  • @Jamsessionroom1337 seriously?

  • @sunnyjim98 Yeah.. i asked him what got him started to play, and he said that he strives to be the best in life and his music, i asked him how he starts in song writing, the he told me something about a Bb major scale, because i mentioned that i knew my E chord :P and he said to try to learn every aspect of it (music) as well.

He said that playing with other people is just as important as practicing.

    Paul is a cool dude.

  • @Jamsessionroom1337 Hey man sorry but I actually love Paul Gilbert, seen him live three times aha, so is there any chance you could inbox me his email please? :P But yeah, he would make the ultimate Dad aha, not to mention free lessons of course. ;D

  • @spakattack I think it's more similar to Chris Impellitteri style

  • @spakattack I agree. I've for a while now referred to him as a "Japanese Paul Gilbert" when describing him to my friends. Both tasty phrasing and similarly executed techniques.

  • @spakattack No, exact to Chris Impelliterri. Check him out. Paul Gilbert has a different style, Chris plays with the style or rock shuffles or just heavy metal. While Paul Gilbert shreds in Rock, Classic Rock style and Metal.

  • this is amazing!

  • He kinda seems influenced by 17th century chicken picking by Chris Impelliteri :p

  • asians...

  • hes playing more funky while syu and herman li and all the other's play hard style

  • one of the best tracks on solo guitar i'v heard

  • if I painted my fingernails red in only one of my hands , people would point at me and laugh , am I the only one here who thinks that ?!

  • Ah... the beautiful things in life...

Never heard of this guy, Takayoshi, japanese isn't he? Belong to any band or is it just solo?

  • @Mithsuy actually hes been playing rythm guitar for Marty Friedman on tour for the last few years. before you say"RYTHM GUITAR?!", know that its an honor to play as rythm guitarist for God.

  • @Mithsuy well he does play rhythm and lead guitar for marty friedman currently. he is also in a few bands.

  • axl rose?

  • Synester doesn't compare technically. You play pleasant surprise then play the m.i.a solo perfectly then give an educated opinion

  • @Tw0Ra

so what is ur conclusion educated person

  • synyster gates is better

  • @gungrave10 gates is this gods left testee

  • this guy has what it takes to be in van halen, imagine??

  • holly crap I'm going to steal so much from this video, Those riffs are amazing!!!

  • his picking style is exatly the same as Al Pitrelli's, you need a palm of steel to pull it off.

  • the japanese yngwie malmsteen

  • @cobfan02 I think this guy approach is better, way more versatile !!!

  • I Only can play the intro!

  • @JPalvesvideos

  • INCREDIBLE!

    I don't have words!

  • eh o capeta!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • o.0 effortless

  • 凄いプレイです。

    いざやると難しすぎ。。

  • one of the most disciplined picking hands ever

  • damn i want this guitar........the tone is sick...

  • @RockLegendLeo That guitar was made 100% custom xD and the tone is the marshall JCM hotrodded

  • @NeoMetalx of course its the amp....but the tone (this kind of tone)comes from strat types only...wood neck width etc and of course the single coil(tho they may be in humbucker mode sometimes)kick ass

  • Fucking awesome! :o :D

  • Awesome.

  • Arrechisimo hp

  • at 1:40 is he using his ring finger on his right hand to pick the string? cause it looks like it and if so that is beast!

  • @d4nzig4life yup, lol his fingernail actually

  • @NeoMetalx well thats just insane. I never realized it until like the 3rd time i watched it.

  • @d4nzig4life The only way you can do that is if your right hand is as disciplined as his. Which is almost impossible, lol.

  • f***** great man.mix of JS and Y.malmsteen :D

  • Japan Yngwie?

  • Feel the power

  • too fucking good (technically) [7].

  • 45 people are jealous

  • That has to be the most disciplined right hand I've ever seen. Jesus...

  • @otherrandomhero Watch some Paul Gilbert or Eric Johnson videos. I think you'll reconsider your evaluation lol Just sayin'

  • @otherrandomhero wtf you're actually right hahahahaha

  • @otherrandomhero Pretty crazy. Circle picking is not something I'd recommend to most people, I think it's much easier to be successful with wrist picking. Takayoshi destroys though. Then again, I'm not a huge fan of the tone and lack of attack of circle picking.

  • @otherrandomhero Try Mab then lulz.

  • @otherrandomhero Years of circle jerking. Nuff said

  • @otherrandomhero look out for kiko loureiro

  • @otherrandomhero ive never ever seen a guitar video where I only watched the players picking hand the whole time until I saw this video the first time. That really is an amazing picking technique.

  • dood is this a girl or a guy if its a guy who the finger nail paint? but lets face it i think he was sent from the gods to show off his tallent if i would have it any better i would say he is one of few great guitarest i think he is better then metallica guitarist dragonforce and vanhallen and also may other but ac dc . ya he is ever batter then them to.

  • I think he paintet his nails red so he better can see where they are on the fretboard when he is playing that fast. lol

Because the right hands nails are not paintet.

    Amazing guitarist.

  • That Strats tone is awesome

  • He painted his figure nails, wtf? o.O

  • cool !

  • This guy is cool, but he always has horrible tone. So much compression, sounds flabby!

  • los wueones ignorante estos, esto no es parecido para nada a Joe Satriani 2%. Es puro Chris Impelliteri 100% y esta increiblemente bueno!

  • Takayoshi is great but Joe Satriani is a Legend!!

  • thumbs up if you play Blazblue and know that takoshi is the guitarist for Daisuke Ishiwatari's band

  • crazy!!!

    \m/_

  • this is the result of having kelly simonz as ur guitar teacher

  • he's like satrianni and yngwie in one.....DUDE wtf and yes all japanese seem to use ESP cause ESP over there probably pwns ibanez :P, go figure

  • His hybrid picking is incredible 0.o

  • holy shit look at his picking hand ive never seen anyone use speed picking so effectively, hes busting this out without even trying

  • This sounds like a bad Michael Lee Firkins song.

  • YNGWIE MALMSTEEN !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I swear, sometimes I can see his hand move down quickly and change the pickups, but most of the time it doesn't move. Does his hand just randomly spasm from playing so much that he can barely keep his God-like powers in control as he plays???

  • 大村さん、凄すぎです!

  • wow!!! japan hasnt brought anything like this to the table since LOUDNESS in he 80s

    O.O i like

  • 3:11 the best part man, thanks for the video, Takayoshi is awesome :D

  • This guy has serious problem with switching pick ups

  • @cacca30 hes a malmsteen clone, they all do it

  • @sunnyjim98 Another one saying he's ripping off Malmsteen. Anyone that's not a retard knows he may be influenced by Malmsteen, but he's not a clone or copy. He does his own thing, blows Malmsteen out of the water, in fact. Besides, it's not like Malmsteen created the genre, he was influenced by others as well.

  • @Dyingbreed1990 nah hes definitely a clone and i bet he would admit it. same as joe stump and the rest of them.

  • @sunnyjim98 And you're a 30 year old playing guitar in a band nobody has heard of. I imagine you're quite the expert.

  • @Dyingbreed1990 nah man im not 30 and my band has never played a gig, but it doesnt take a genius to realise when somebody is copying somebody else for fuck sake...

check out joe stump he is another clone. but far less subtle.

how you can tell a malmsteen clone:

uses a strat / uses "Circular Picking" / has a fully scalloped fretboard / uses bridge pickup for most shred passages(one thing that most guitarists dont do) / uses lots of malmsteens signature licks.

    wheres your band expert?

  • @sunnyjim98 How the hell can you say the type of guitar or picking technique means anything in terms of playing style? You can't. That doesn't make any sense.

  • Comment removed

  • @biskwikman yea man you're right, that playing technique isnt exclusive to the shred genre. the guitar isnt exclusive to the style either. i know jazz and blues players using these.

    BUT

when they are used together, and blatently cloning malmsteen's style THEN it means something in terms of playing style.

you guys dont believe that this guy is a clone? ill prove it. i saw a video of takayoshi where the song he plays contains a lick directly copied from a malmsteen song.

  • Comment removed

  • @JRockGalaxy im aware of that man, but theres a difference between putting a riff in a song and then finding out later that it founds similar to a song by your fav musician. ive done it before, licks get stuck in your head if you listen to em a lot. but look at that guy! not only is he using licks that sound similar to his fav musician, but he copied everything that defines malmsteen!

when i think malmsteen i think of that fender of his, his playin technique, and meatballs! :D

  • @biskwikman yeah, takayoshi's song is called "holy tommorow" and it is basically the riffs from malmsteens "no mercy" and "ill see the light tonight" mixed together. have a listen if you dont believe me...

  • @biskwikman pretty damn stupid that i actually had to go find the damn song to prove my point. just look up joe stump... compare him and takayoshi and you'll see they both share the same overpowering influence... both strat shredders, both circular pickers, both use fully scalloped fretboards, both have at least one song i know of that completely rip off malmsteen... case closed gentlemen.

  • @sunnyjim98

    watch?v=_wBmIp1-CVY&feature=related

A few songs that aren't "Yngwie cloned". I just don't know how different you can sound when you play in the style of neo-classical metal. I mean...Yngwie DOES play in Phyrgian alot. So if someone were to shred in Phyrgian in a neo-class context, I wouldn't be surprised that it sounds similar.

  • @VinnyShinny yeah i know that the guys dont sound the same all the time lol! this song we're watching now sounds very unmalmsteen in my opinion!

its not really the sound of their music that is extremely similar though, its all those nuances i mentioned before!

i mean i highly doubt somebody else just happens to play a strat with a fully scalloped maple fretboard and uses circular picking by chance haha!

  • @sunnyjim98 Well he learned from this other Japanese guitarist Kelly Simonz (who pretty much loves Yngwie also) so I guess if you've learned in the style of Yngwie the entire time you'd probably be used to playing on those scalloped ESP strat-typed guitars. I mean those guitars are almost ideal to shred on for this kind of stuff.

  • @biskwikman OMG i found another clone -.-

    watch?v=tGFkV77g_iY&feature=related

hes norifumi shima, the guy on the left with the strat, scalloped frets, circular picking and switchin the Pups like a mad man...

  • @biskwikman and guys, just to set the record straight, i believe that those guys i mentioned minus joe stump are all better than malmsteen. but you cant deny that these guys are copying the guy

  • @biskwikman oh yeah, marshall guitarists ^_^

  • nice but Syu make in only one song EX1-11 watch Syu's Demo '08

  • @pelelecolon Because most of what he plays is the same runs and patterns in every song I've heard. Whether its Animetal or Galneryus, he never changes his solos. I like that Ohmura takes more of a Kelly Simonz approach and throws some jazz and blues licks in with the normal neo-classical sounds.

  • @CaptainAshra Jazz and Blues liks is great Syu and Ohmura are great but if we going to put that kind i go with old school like Olarn Promjai or Pop the sun they are classic legends asian guitar player! But still tho this generation i cant compare witch one is good Syu or Ohmura or Gentaro or Satoshi bunch of great player with diferent skill!

  • OAL..Oriental Alexi Laiho

  • Ohmura's Boogie's just fantastic !

  • this guy makes everything look so easy but in reality this thing might take me a century to actually play it

  • Not bad.... for a guy who wears nail varnish ;)

i joke..... fricking epic playing ^^

  • check 3:14 : crazy selector switch method ! (gaining 1/66 s for harmonics, highs and gain ...) !!! Ohmura is ready for Olympic games for sure ! Omedetogozaimasu !

  • @cryopsis He toggled his pickups 31 times or so in the entire song. World record for a 3 1/2 minute song?

  • <3 this song

  • How to groove at 320 bpm !

  • pls marry me

  • i swear this is not possible!! =(

  • Takayoshi Ohmura pawns Joe Satriani
