I don't really think it looks stupid I think it is really interesting that it is a subconscience reaction rather than a strategy for improving playing quality. Also any words that seem randomly placed can be blamed on this phone that seems to think "do not" should be switched to doing and "been" to "ben". Lol but this was an amazing piece that was played and it is one of my favorites well done, a definate thumbs up!
I doing play piano but I have ben playing keyboard for a few years and I have noticed very seasoned and great PIANO players seem to rock back and forth while playing any particular reason why?
@Xxmark628xX As a piano player - I can tell you that, when playing expressive songs, rocking is almost subconscious, it's more there because it's in the music (although I will admit, if I find myself rocking when playing, I stop because I think myself to be stupid). Well it helps when trying to reach the keys that are out of reach for people with shorter arms.
@Xxmark628xX it's cuz playing piano - or any musical instrument- is a very physical thing. i dont kno the whole science of it, but rocking is a natural thing and really does help the musician to not only 'feel' the music, but to apply the proper pressure into the keys from the shoulders/ arms
i just started taking piano lessons today! first time, and it was AWESOME! i hope i can play like this soon (well, in a few years at least!) so excited! :D
The time starts and end sets for each piece: 1st piece: March 0:00 to 2:00 2nd piece: Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy 2:02 to 3:48 3rd piece: Trepak Dance 3:49 to 5:01 4th piece: In the Christmas Tree 5:03 to 9:00 5th piece: Chinese Dance (Tea) 9:02 to 10:10 6th piece: Pas De deux: Intrada (the best! must watch until here okay!!) 10:12 to 15:15
I found out how to get the sheets: Search On Google:
"The Nutcracker Suite for piano solo arranged by Pletnev Sheet"
This one guy found it, and uploaded it to, and its ready for download in two different files! :) I just checked them, and from what I can tell Its the same score!
@Piyanistcan5 I found them, search google on the same title as this video, and youll get the full score in 2downloads! :) I have learned the march, hard as ..... So I wount be playing it up to speed for quite some time! :)
@wing19831228 what makes you group her style into Korean style? Why don't you try listening to the music before looking at who is playing? That shall cure your racist view.
Ummm, T.P., that "cround" are people who know the etiquette of how to behave at a classical recital. You don't clap along, you don't shout "wooo hooo", you don't applaude at every quiet spot...you LISTEN.
@ttoiletpaper At most piano recitals there isn't an applause between pieces and in this case it's one piece with different sections split up with a short pause between each so there's not really a need for an applause. Same with piano concertos and such, between each movement. When I first started listening to classical I didn't know either =P You just sort of pick up on it as you go on. Hope I cleared anything up =]
What is the name of the song/section that begins at 5:04? And, to avoid sounding ignorant in the future, I am assuming that the "suite" is broken into said "sections". What are the sections called? Thanks.
This video isn't some crap from Tosh.0. Who clicks "dislike"?
Tchaikovsky was such tormented individual. he lived in a time when liking the cock was a big no no and never came to terms with his sexuality. He even married to try and convince himself that the punnani was better, but she turned out to be horrible.
Incredible...She and the piano are one...One forgets there are no other instruments playing...think I'll prefer it to the full orchestra version..It's so pure and overwhelmingly representative of the full ballet scene..Just close your eyes and dream..
It is very nice. Clean and bright. Still I wish she would take her time more so I could savor each note. After all there is no rush, and no metronome beeping in the background.
THe pianist is very very good, but I'm not entirely happy with the arrangement, although I'm sure it's very difficult. But once again, the pianist is fantastic and made it sound the best it can
I think the pianist did a very fine job. She definitely has a fitting technique for this beautiful arrangement. I wish there would have been more dynamic variation and a bit more creativity with the rubato. I believe Tchaikovsky on the piano not only makes for these allowances, but in a spiritual way even demands them. This would have made this rendition even more awesome and powerful. Once again, job well done. Good pianist.
@geezonthekeys Well I got that of course; I was just wondering as to why it was doing so, and from such a position - but @jazztrmpter answered that (thank you).
