In order to Get a HTML code for your picture that you have made go to imageshack.us. Upload the photo and it will give you tons of different codes including HTML. Copy and paste the HTML code onto the FBML app. It works perfect.
I did mine on GIMP. Thing is, I have the picture to show up, I just don't have the image maps to show up. I replaced the picture file with a host URL from Photobucket.
The original file was a .png, as you can't really upload .html to Photobucket or anything.

Hey Pat, when I go to chage the settings to make the welcome tab a landing page I don't see that option to make it default. Did fb stop doing that since you have made this video?
Hey there! I realized that I had created a community page and only "official" business pages allow you create landing pages and reveal tabs. I am having to transfer all of my stuff to an official page. There is no option to do this for a community page and you choose that option when you create your page. I hope this helps! Hey guys check this out. Facebook announced via the developer forum that Facebook Pages now need to be authenticated in order to have landing tabs. This means any new visitor to your Facebook Page will not be able to land on a custom tab unless you have greater than 10,000 fans or the Page administrator has worked with an ads account representative. This is a massive blow to smaller companies (or individuals) looking to build their presence through Facebook Pages.

This whole setup process has changed completely since this video was made. There are no "pencil" symbols, eg, and when you click on "edit settings" (fbml) there's no option to add a title (it just says "Added".
PS - they've also reduced the amount of space (width) available on the customized page (images created before the change are now cut off two thirds of the way across). Which kind of illustrates the problem with things like facebook: just when you set your page up, they can come along and mess it up at any time by changing the features, parameters etc.

Not trying to be a smart ass, and I appreciate the video,, but the 'trick' regarding using a .jpg instead of fbml either requires more explanation, or is not correct. While I am no expert on html, the code you are using does not have an end />. I may be wrong (again, I am no expert) but I would think that is necessary. Second, you say you can put the jpg on a server and link to it, using that very code. Well, Photobucket is a server, and when you link to it using that code, it doesn't work.
Hey Pat ~ I was setting up a new fanpage and the size of the page has changed. It's much smaller now. AND I think they have stopped the option of having people go to the welcome page option. There is no longer the second default for others drop down box when you create the fan page. Any other ideas?
Thanks for this video. Unfortunately, when I do what you say, and go to paste the html into the box (created through Dreamweaver), the page just shows blank. I have a feeling it is not as easy as just cutting and pasting the html you get when you go to "code view" in Dreamweaver. Any idea what I might be doing wrong?
Yes, this same thing happened to me. It may be because I was using Publisher as my HTML editor and youre using Dreamweaver. We probably have to have clean html code.
everytime I try to make the image wider than 500 hundred or so it gets cut off ( i was trying to make it 760 like you said. If you have any form of help for this situation, it would be appreciated, thank you :)
@mariomj71099 You (since you're the admin of your page), and everyone who has already "liked" your page will automatically bypass your landing page. Only people who are not fans will go there. If they are already your fan, there's no need to try and get them to become a fan again. :)
@SmartPassiveIncome I see it now only the people who haven't liked the page can see it, but when they liked the page they will be redirected to the wall tab

ps: you forgot to mention: when you first make the FBML page it comes up in the boxes as default for some people so you have to go to application settings and remove the box and add the tab to your page. thanks again for the tutorial !
@djs1124 You either have to create it yourself or get someone who knows html to do the code for you. It is not something you can copy from someone else because you would be getting their info.

Not trying to be a smart ass, and I appreciate the video,, but the 'trick' regarding using a .jpg instead of fbml either requires more explanation, or is not correct. While I am no expert on html, the code you are using does not have an end />. I may be wrong (again, I am no expert) but I would think that is necessary. Second, you say you can put the jpg on a server and link to it, using that very code. Well, Photobucket is a server, and when you link to it using that code, it doesn't work.

Hey Pat ~ I was setting up a new fanpage and the size of the page has changed. It's much smaller now. AND I think they have stopped the option of having people go to the welcome page option. There is no longer the second default for others drop down box when you create the fan page. Any other ideas?

Thanks for this video. Unfortunately, when I do what you say, and go to paste the html into the box (created through Dreamweaver), the page just shows blank. I have a feeling it is not as easy as just cutting and pasting the html you get when you go to "code view" in Dreamweaver. Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

Yes, this same thing happened to me. It may be because I was using Publisher as my HTML editor and youre using Dreamweaver. We probably have to have clean html code.

everytime I try to make the image wider than 500 hundred or so it gets cut off ( i was trying to make it 760 like you said. If you have any form of help for this situation, it would be appreciated, thank you :)

@mariomj71099 You (since you're the admin of your page), and everyone who has already "liked" your page will automatically bypass your landing page. Only people who are not fans will go there. If they are already your fan, there's no need to try and get them to become a fan again. :)

ps: you forgot to mention: when you first make the FBML page it comes up in the boxes as default for some people so you have to go to application settings and remove the box and add the tab to your page. thanks again for the tutorial !

@djs1124 You either have to create it yourself or get someone who knows html to do the code for you. It is not something you can copy from someone else because you would be getting their info.
