  • that running 3 pointer needs to be in some kind of hall of frame. amazing.

  • @MrKobeClutchBryant I swear, every single jeremy Lin video I go to I c one of ur stupid trolling comments. It's fucking annoying. Stop hatin' on him, aightt?? Get a life and grow some balls #BITCH

  • does one of those announcers sound like Quagmire to anybody else but me?

  • Lol lin on kemba!!!! Kemba was like 4th overall pick in draft, n lin still had more points than him

  • " That was luck, when you make it to win a game? that takes more skills.." - "Jeremy Lin has done that already " ~~~ again @ Raptors!

  • Vietnamese descent, smart, and scissors kick?! Both should be fired

  • Who were the scouts at this game?

    Are they still employed?

  • Haters gon' hate, chin's gonna win.

  • how did he go undrafted?

  • i wish he won lol

  • lol his pic at :08 looks like hes in elementary school

  • Harvard said Lin was one of the most un-athletic guys to ever come to harvard he became great when he put in the hours of hard work

  • 8:15 He can dunk with both hands.. Linsane!!

  • FUK ALL ASIAN HATTER

  • @king78167 hatters gonna hat

  • Whoever was scouting this game I feel bad for you.

  • its not racist, its prejudiced, big difference guys. racism has a hateful connotation, i dont think any recruiters passed him up because they hate asians

  • Jeremy Lin was better than every player on that UConn team. How did the scouts not see this?

  • not just racism man, ppl probably think he cannot survive the tension in nba

now he proves them (me) wrong!

  • @wwwyz4 yeah chill man I mean he's good but no way in hell would I take Lin #1 in the draft

  • RECRUITERS CAN SUCK EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LIN SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE MOTHEFUCKIN #1 DRAFT PICK

  • @wwwyz4 no he shouldn't have. Chill the fuck out

  • man i hope that the scouts realize that its not always about ethnicity.

  • 2:25 Vietnamese descent, DOES HE WANT TO DIE?

  • @KrissLisbon ?????

  • @KrissLisbon haha that is so funny :P my parents are vietnamese but this guy deserves a kick to his bollocks

  • 2:25

Did he just say Lin's of Vietnamese descent?

  • Comment removed

  • hes not black or white with floppy hair so naturally he went undrafted...god scouts and gm's are reatrded today...this is just the type of kid Don Haskins would be proud of

  • Is that Rondo at 3:12?

  • @krhazymonkey yeah because rondo got drafted last year and played with kemba walker at uconn................

  • @hookemhorns972 Thanks for your comment. I strongly feel as a songwriter, lyricist, poet, child of God, talent is a gift from God. It must be nutured & directed accordingly. Have a great day. I strongly believe Jeremy Lin is an inspiring young man to all people, regardless of racial background,

ethnicity, etc, etc. Jeremy Lin is just like one of us, striving for a better life for ourself & His family.

  • 6:47 HOLY CRAP! CRAZY! O_O

  • His parents were "vietnamese descent"? what a fail..lol

  • He's good but he failed to win the team. Anyway, he got used playing a losing team. It's good experience for trying to turn the knicks to winners. Good luck Jeremy !

  • Hard works but he finally made it. All he is trying to is to do his best. Lin-Nastee

  • too bad they didnt lin

  • linsanity! linfinity and beyond!

  • Luck shot? HA! Go watch the nba game sweetie

  • not impressive at all

  • these are the worst announcers in the world. they said lin's of "vietnamese descent" and that he plays for princeton.

  • @Stegmutt it's like saying Rubio is from France.

  • He's Linsane

  • 5:58 "that's a luck shot, if you make it to win a game..." Just did, melted clocked down, and hit the three, took Air Canada Center to orbit with .5 secs left.

  • Yes, I heard it too but at 2:25 the announcer says "his parents are Vietnamese descent". #justsaying

  • Love how Harvard doesn't have any cheerleaders.

  • I think this shows it aint an accident.. Linsanity started long time ago!

  • I feel as an asian male, asians are very much discriminated in western societies including America, Britain, Germany and more nations. It's good to witness asians doing well. It's very much everyone's birthright to do well and prosper. Amen.

  • @juliantt11

I know how you feel bro, being a Black American. If you read our history, it was the same way. Black people were very excited for guys like Jesse Owens, and Jackie Robinson who were winning in a game white people told them they couldn't play. I saw some of Jeremy's College games and I knew he would be good in the NBA, Gary Payton followed Lin since H.S and even HE knew Lin would be good. This is great for the Asian Community. Can't wait to see more Asian players.

  • It's really good to see an asian in the NBA. Jeremy Lin is as good as the stats says. Believe the hype.

  • Who did Calhoun think traveled at 4:37?

  • This move @4:23 was LIN-genious. The guy turn his back on u then u just follow him in. lol.

  • The only person to ever give Lin a chance in the nba was god himself .. no other way ..

  • Funny...Doug Gottlieb who is one of the broadcast crew on this game was going head to head with Bruce Bowen on ESPN about the Lin/Melo meshing issue. Gottlieb was making a bunch of silly arguments about Lin being better without Amare and Melo and Bowen was laughing at him. Gottlieb's big moment at the end was, "I ACTUALLY DID THE UCONN GAME WHEN HE DROPPED 30!" (Yeah, Doug, you also say in this clip that he's of Vietnamese descent. Genius research.)

  • Unwatchable...too jittery

  • Kemba and JLin before they were in the NBA! =D

  • SENDOH!!!

  • @HILERIUS reminds me of slam dunk manga! sendoh guy right

  • I tell you what Lin outplayed both John Wall and Kemba Walker in those matchups. It's not like this kid didnt have talent.

  • laotians are incredible

  • All of you tht didnt pay attention...the announcers said his parent were "of vietnamese descent"

  • @MrChinamanTV Ummm that doesn't make the announcer any more right... his parents are of Taiwanese descent

  • happy vaLINtines

  • How did the nba gm miss this one.He would had be a first round pick if he was Black. And I am a black person. The boy got skills.

  • What's amazing is that Jeremy didn't receive any college athletic scholarships. He got into Harvard because of his brain.

  • He plays with such pride and wisdom

  • it's called overt racism som1 racist read it on wiki it happen everywhere in usa at all level of societ y include in the field court etc

  • did not receive a closer look by recruiters because of his ethnicity...somtimes we call it RACISM!!

  • @oa92000 I was gonna put up something similar to this. Overlooked because he's Asian.

  • this proves that lin was amazing even before he was noticed. this makes me wonder why he was undrafted. but then again he never gave up and kept going. jeremy lin is amazing.

  • @deedi01 Your right, he's always been good. But i can understand how he wouldnt get drafted. This isnt the nfl or mlb where you have 102902 rounds. Only about 60 ppl get drafted throughout all of college ball, euro ball, and other pro leagues around the world. Thats more then understandable. Though whats not understandable is how he couldnt pick up one lousy d1 scholarship while being the best highschool player in cali. Thats just idiotic.

  • @deedi01 not surprising to me that he didn't get picked...just goes to show these guys who pick players are lazy and just go with the crowd so to speak. they don't really do the the dirt work looking for that one special player. just cuz you go to nc or florida doesn't equate to you being a winner. just proves these guys don't do their homework

  • @deedi01

He wasn't just undrafted. He wasn't even getting recruited by Division I schools when he was in high school. He had to walk on without a scholarship.

  • @yurenass you dont know shxt

  • asian not athletic???? yall crazy look at what the chinese had done in the olympics in the past 15yrs!!! they r always finish in the top 3 against world competitions in any sports!!! chinese men n women dominated in weight lifting(woww just found out)! gymnastics( have to b extremely athletic to even have a chance to compete the sport)! ping pong( hand n eye coodination at its best when the tiny ball trvels at 80mph! shooting(ace shooters r made in china)!.speed skating, worlds top hurldler liu!

  • why cant you ppl just enjoy the game of bball and this humble star?

  • The kid can raise his game against top competition. To see him light up UConn and the Lakers last night proves a lot to me.

  • If Lin was blk, he would have been UCLA's starting point guard and gone in the top 10 picks.

But thank god for us Knick fans....we deserve it after what we've all been through the last 15 years.

  • lmao they said he's vietnamese lmao

  • whats his IQ?

  • @karlatrujano thats linpossible to say

  • @karlatrujano

Basketball IQ is 180+...not so sure about his academic IQ, but he's obviously a hard worker to get into Harvard.

  • Asians,Black or White.... This Nigga is a Baller!! Thats all that matters.

  • @SDSOverfiend

    lol...well said.

  • We Knick Fans are sssooo lucky....lol.

  • and UConn won this game because Kemba Walker is still a beast.

  • @IronHulkX

UConn won because they have 8 three to five star recruits sitting on their bench.

  • God why couldn't the bucks have gotten lin. Fuck Brandon Jennings

  • @hanalovesdanceteam why would you say that about Brandon...19 points a game this season! But yeah, bucks suck :D

  • guess who won the game, UCONN

  • @AeroSpace1210 well no SHIT!! It's Harvard who they're playing, smh.

  • @AeroSpace1210

Yeah, but did you see the looks on their faces? They were like...."wtf just happened."

  • fuck you announcer that wasnt luck its all skill :)

  • oh ye taiwan whoo man

  • Another SWAG

  • The dumb announcer called him Vietnamese...

  • @chipotleattack LMAO dumb announcer Jeremy is blk

  • @chipotleattack

    lmao vietnamese

  • @chipotleattack dumb ass his parents are Vietnamese descent

  • @lgversa1 He's Taiwanese dumbass.

  • @chipotleattack He's Korean dumbass

  • @Freidemo lol now I know you're just trolling. Nobody is that dumb.

  • @chipotleattack it was doug gottlieb from espn.. of all people

  • @chipotleattack this shows even the announcer (the one with the whiny voice) has the stereotype and hinting he is getting lucky and he's weak (to his head "injury") it's quite pathetic and I can't believe no one check the facts because no one person had the announcer correct about the Vietnamese.

  • @chipotleattack

    His family is from Taiwan.

His grandma in Taiwan says that many info stating that Lin's family from China being wrong. His both parents were born in Taiwan.

    "Taiwanese(I am/grandma), He(Lin) is also Taiwanese"

Since Lin was born in USA, Lin is Taiwanese American.

    Youtube

    【中天】2/16豪嬤登上紐約時報 強調林書豪是台灣人

    (1:18)

His grandma confirms that in Taiwanese.

  • @bctvanw Political issues aside, he's Chinese ethnicity. He can also be Taiwanese too, if you care about nationality, which alot of people do considering all these heated Chinese/Taiwanese debates, which is saddening.

  • @Kratos0909

Hoiw do you know? Can't he be Austronesian?

Chinese is not like the term such as "Germanic" or "Latino". Chinese also means "Chinese citizen". Of course its political. Do you want to be called English because you speak in a English speaking country and the country used to be part of it? Do English people want to be called German? Are all English people from Mainland Europe?

  • This video should have been like 2 mins long...

  • why does lin look like he's 12 in that star watch photo?

  • He never got a chance. He said it him self that he feels Asians or Asian Americans don't get the respect they deserve.

  • @gaminkalv

But asians do get respect, but just not in the basketball world. If this were Olympic high diving, the situation would be different.

  • This guy is a baller, look at those killer cross overs and the hang time on the layups to avoid blocks. WTF were the scouts thinking, oh yeah he's asian not 7'5 like Yao so he cant possibly play.. Yeah he's ours now.. Knicks baby we finally got a fantastic point guard who plays like Nash

  • @Gyro911

It seems easy now but where were you last week. Did you know he was THIS good?

  • @yurenass I was there last week. Read my comments

  • ignorant scouting from stereo typing caused them to miss this guys talent. He was Torching Uconn this whole game and last i checked their the defending national champs

  • wtf does it matter? All I know is, when he's on that court, HE IS A BASKETBALL PLAYER and a fucking good one. now leave him the fuck alone and enjoy the game.

  • Isnt he hawain

  • @iamWhitepower100

There's two I's in Hawaiian you knucklehead. Lower that number after your name to about 65 and it will be more accurate. You're a disgrace to all us white folks.

  • 2:26

  • Comment removed

  • um the commentator says hes vietnamese descent

  • if he was black the commentator would not have said that was lucky and would have said "this is just a shot you cant play defense on" or something

  • I am pretty sure a lot of people hate china for some reason they don't really know. It's easy to hate but hard to love. Why don't we just adopt him an Asian pride, or more general, a pro player? Make hate comments only belittle yourselves anyway

  • Enjoy his skills and stop this nonsense!!!! WHO CARES WHERE HE IS FROM. .This craziness will make people dislike Lin and Taiwanese...just enjoy his great skills.

  • Comment removed

  • why are we discussing his race/ethnicity now? no one gave a shit when he was still riding pine...everyone wants a slice of the newest minted cake...wats next? kyrie irving gonna explode for 40 and australians and americans gonna head into Battle of the Youtube EP. 32432 ?

  • I don't know what all this Vietnam, Chinese, Taiwan...whatever rubbish is all about. I looked him up on Wikipedia.... they said he was American.

  • there are 2 different words for CHINESE in chinese:

.華人: usually yellow people who use chinese as main language.

.中國人: People who hold citizenship of the PRC.

  • he's great anyway no matter he's taiwanese, chinese, or american

his parents are from 彰化, 台灣(taiwan)

his grandparents are from 浙江, 中國(china)

and now he lives in the us

  • @hgf0818

    His grandparents(father's side) are Taiwanese.

Many people read from false sources from China to make this wrong impression.

Even Wiki in Chinese quoted this false info.

  • @hgf0818 她奶奶講一口台語 你覺得是來自浙江嗎?

  • @hgf0818 His maternal grandmother. That means only one is from Zhejiang province.

  • @hgf0818 he doesn't just lives in the US, he is FROM there. He was born in America so he's as American as it can get. Well, maybe a bit less than a Native American. lol

  • his parents are from Taiwan, not Vietnam ok!~

  • never seen a vietnamese with last name "lin"

  • who cares? HES ASIAN.. asian pride! YAY! i'm taiwanese born american.. and i'm proud of be taiwanese and american. but I see jeremy as an taiwanese born american just like me. dont give shit about what other ppl say. i support him anyway

  • hes certainly not vietnamese descent like the idiots in the video say

  • I really enjoyed this slideshow.

  • chinese race and US nationality, Taiwanese heritage.

  • look at all the comments... they are all about his ethnicity -__-

  • who the hell cares what ethnicity is jeremy lin. all i care about is that he CAN play and that's all that matters.

  • Choppy frame rate can't watch.

  • Why are you people arguing about this shit? So what if Taiwanese people call themselves Chinese. They do that because people in the US dont know what the fuck is Taiwanese....

  • That awkward moment when both top comments are from the same person..

But i do agree with him!

  • jeremy Lin only asian under 7 feet that can dunk lmao, hes pretty good still

  • Why does race have to be always an issue with you people?

  • HAHAHAH to all those talking about filipinos, it's so true. go work in our factories. HE'S TAIWANESE. all you retards talking about the chinese being the taiwanese have no clue about foreign affairs...at all.

  • @averyyangster sure you can say that...but yet Taiwan will never dare to declare independence, TAIWAN will always be APART of CHINA, therefore if your TAIWANESE, then your CHINESE...haha sorry, but there's nothing you can do about that fact.

  • @yuch1102 Taiwan is independent already = =, just because China say "we still part of China", doesn't mean we are still their's.

  • @ming85c doesn't really matter, jeremy lin said "I am proud to be Chinese", so there you have it.

  • @ming85c

Can't yall just get along. You're politically two different entities but ethnically the same...like N and S Korea.

  • @letgo1120 Jeremy Lin = "I will consider playing for Chinese NATIONAL TEAM". HAHAHAHAH U MAD U MAD!!!

  • @Filipinos4Islanders

just a fact so you know. you filipinos are mostly recognized as workers in factories here in taiwan. thanks to you ppl our economy gets to increase:)

  • @letgo1120 Former government fled like bitches when communists took over and hid in the "island" of Taiwan hahaha not much to understand and learn. Now the green party bitches are crying because THE REAL CHINA is the SUPER POWER. I know you mad BECAUSE YOu'RE CHINESE and ASHAMED! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH
