I love this song.. It's sad that no one really wants to hear us, or help us. Church feels so unsafe. I still love the Lord with everything in me. But the church , and pastors don't feel safe to me.
@4stephkim4 I completely agree. There are those who wish to help, but they all seem to be fellow survivors of this abuse. Just goes to show you that true care and compassion comes from having experienced the pain first hand. And Jesus felt betrayal too, betrayal unto death, so He can surely be the shoulder we cry on. It hurts not to be able to feel safe in a congregation, because we now fear what we need. It's like being allergic to water. I found online 'church' to be a good transition.
