Incontravertible proof that computer geeks have appallingly bad taste in music. This guy sounds like Third Eye Blind ffs. Still, PAX would've been great fun.
i can understand that you might not like it for personal reasons, that's fine, tastes in music are highly subjectives, but one thing stands: he sings very well and the lyrics for an humor songs about zombies are absolutely great, the concept of the neighbor zombie saying "hi 5" was a very interesting way to bring the subject.
One of the few acts around that can fuck up HORRIBLY and have the crowd cheer for him! How cool is that?! Not many people can get away with that shit man.
OMG! I loved this concert! I was lucky enough to be right up next to the stage to his right. The camera boom interaction was hilarious!! Oh, and I loved the guy who yelled "I will!" So glad you can hear it in this version!
This is great! I can't imagine what it must have looked like up there, with an entire crowd singing "All we want to do is eat your brains". What a concept. *Sigh* Only JoCo...
I was there; there must have been over 5,000 in that crowd! Us all clawing at him like zombies during the chorus was priceless; it must have looked pretty freaky from his P.O.V. :D

I know. AND IT TEARS ME UP INSIDE.
I guess it's all about context.

You realize his style is folk right?
I can't WAIT for you to tell us what kind of music you like!

Yeah no. There's nothing folk about Jonathon Coulton. What made you think that? An acoustic guitar? 'Vaguely folkish alterna-rock' maybe. :D
youandwhosearmy2 4 years ago
Actually, my masters degree in music composition made me think of folk.
But thanks for playing!

Actually my 10 years of working as a radio DJ made me think of not-folk. But thanks for trying :D
youandwhosearmy2 4 years ago
lol. Like DJing for radio these days can justify taste in music.

I'm not justifying anything. I'm saying this is a crap song. Which it is.

If you dislike it so much, why are you putting so much effort into hating it?

The acoustics on this version are really off; perhaps listening to another version would alter your opinion a bit...
