I can't find a single convincing version wiv a cockney accent. I mean Davy Jones? Gracy Fields? Max Bygraves did a great version and so did Tommy Steele but the best is Flannagan and Allen but none of 'em are to be found anywhere. If anyone has a copy I'd appreciate hearing from you. Cheers, Dave from Peckham.
The person who is singing has a "West End" accent, which is associated with the London Cockney's, along with the Pearly Kings and Queens. Cockney does have a language all it's own, however I do not recall a song that contains that much of it.
Born and bred Sarf Londoner from Catford via Bermondsey and Peckham and proud of it!

Ich glaube, ich hab mit meiner Frage eine hitzige diskussion über den Akzent in diesem song ausgelöst, danke trotzdem für die vielen Ansichten!
