I actually have this track as a B-side and the monks weren't on it. And to be honest, they ruin it. I don't know who decided to 'play around' and add them, but they're out of tune with the actual music and just sound like they've been added on top. Stop mucking around, it was fine as it was.

Fellow YouTube user tarasbuljba has actually already uploaded the track how it's meant to be, although it has the suffix 'short remix' - this bit can't be right as the actual CD sleeve (which I own) has on it printed the following words: "On this record there are no remixes that violate the original song." Therefore, tarasbuljba's version is not a remix at all, it's the original. Anyway, enjoy!

So hideous is this musical presentation that it is reminiscent of the bones left over from a meal. The desperate attempt by Enigma to recapture their original sound and still make it relevant is a sad testimony to their incredibly limited sense of musical ability to expand on the original sound. Sounds like a few sleepy monks who didn't leave the monastery after Mea Culpa. Sad really.

i just love enigma :) they are an awesome group. I have loved them since the early 90's and I own every one of their cd's. They are a powerful group and with this slide show it isn't that hard to try to reach ascension. I listen to them when I mediate and when writing one of my books, it puts me into a state where I feel powerful which in turn puts a scence in one of my books all that more powerful.
