The fraudulent statement of "US Taxpayers paid for the foreign car manufacturers" is laughable. Detroit got the same, if not more in tax subsidies, they blew it!

Toyota and GM sold about the same number of vehicles worldwide last year, yet one (GM) lost billions, the other (Toyota) made billions... What's wrong with that picture?

The economy isn't crashing. It's adjusting from the government's drive to overinflation over the last decade. As far as the Auto companies are concerned, they would be better off in bankruptcy, because they would have more freedom to restructure. They just don't want to restructure. They don't want to be more competative. They want to keep their salaries and pensions and and...

P.S. I was against the Wall Street bailout as well for the same reasons.
