subsistance has 3 disks, at least on the PS2: Disk 1 for Gameplay, Disk 2 for Online Play, Boss Battles and the origional Metal Gear. Disk 3 is reviewing cutscenes.

Twin Snakes was nothing compared to the original. Way too over-the-top, the voice acting is awful, and it's not the same play experience. On the topic of the voice-actors, why didn't they bother to get the original people working on it? There was little to no acting for these people, they just read the lines.

I've played MGS 2, bought this one, but never played the original psx version. However, despite being new to the series I really like this game! I have no idea why people hate it! Snake being superhuman is true! It fits the MGS series for being over the top!
this game came a real distant from its original.. there is more action then before.. snake is even cooler but all this super human feats make the game feel not so down to earth as before.. this trailer also left out some of the best dialogs in the game..

I'd give it a go, but if it's an online deal then I think he'd probably try and skin you for it and you wouldn't be able to get it.

I don't know about you, but if I see ten backflips in a game where the main character is dodging something, I wouldn't be entertained. "Okay guys, we need to make this game look cooler than it already is. So we need BACKFLIPS FUCKING EVERYWHERE. We need to DEFLECT BULLETS with SWORDS, and we ABSOLUTELY NEED BULLET-TIME." Seriously, if I wanted all that shit, I'd watch the Matrix.
On that note, who does a backflip to dodge a single bullet?

I'll gladly play the PSX version of Metal Gear any day because it looked more realistic. I'd rather finish myself off than touch "Twin Snakes", but you can go ahead and jerk those snakes, you retard. Sorry Mr.Genius, it's "Realize," not "relies." Just had to point that out first. Also, I enjoy entertainment, but this game was horrible and way too over-the-top. Also, where did Batman come in? This is Metal Gear Solid. Calm the fuck down, Robin the boy Retard.
Twin Snakes looks more like a parody than an installment in the series. "Hey, dress up like Bond would!" "You like to play Mario Sunshine!" Again, I'd rather take a cyanide pill than pick this "game" up.

Also, I'm going to say this once and only once. Metal Gear Solid is not "over-the-top". Hancock is over-the-top. MGS - TS is between The Matrix and Little house on the prairie. You're bitching about a few backflips and calling it "over-the-top" when your brain can't even process the fact that it's not. Plus, you're not even focusing on the good points about the game. Hell, let's face it, the PSX MGS was dull when it comes to TS. Nostalgic, but dull. Case closed.

i don't think they make him look weak, they show just how bad ass he is and his enemies.
if anything the cutscenes in tss makes the story for me anyways more enjoyable especially when talking about snake being a legend that he is.

dont think tss was any way exxagerated or over the top. its a game about clones, telepaths, people with super exoskeletons that can reflect bullets with a sword.

The Genome Soldiers aren't really super humans (as we learn in the end of the game) and they weren't on top of a helicopter as you said. Plus, Raiden also managed to defeat a nest of Metal Gear RAYS, which shows that you don't need to be a "Snake" to take down a Metal Gear.

i just watched the full game of mgs on u tube was about 9 parts.
while the game was good back in the day im sorry but this looks about 50 times better lol and not even the general graphics
the cut scenes are like mgs on roids, snake never moved this good on playstation

like the scene with ninja, snakes jumps all ove rthe place. but when you finally get into the boss battle, all snake can do is punch and kick
it kinda detracts from the experience

why do people keep saying the voice acting isn't as good?? I think people are just saying this because a few haters claimed it and now everyone is spouting utter hyberbole. It's the SAME actors! In fact, Liquid sounds MUCH better than he did before (much more emotion). I bet most of you haven't even played BOTH games and if you haven't it's been more than 6 years since

If there was a real problem with the voice acting then the dozens of on bias reviewers who reviewed the game would have mentioned it, as well as pretty much everyone who played it. In fact, No one but you very few but vocal bias fanboys has ANY problem with the voice acting.

Be carefull with that presumptious thought. Besides, I'm not the only one who notices the weirdness in 'The Twin Snakes' voice acting. Meryl's double yell is just one example among others. There are people who feel "disturbed" by this voice acting (not in general) and you are not aware of this. Because you only have two eyes and you haven't been searching all the places that exist. I haven't been doing that either, but at least, I found some people who do the contrary to what you said. I'm not the only one.

I've played MGS 2, bought this one, but never played the original psx version. However, despite being new to the series I really like this game! I have no idea why people hate it! Snake being superhuman is true! It fits the MGS series for being over the top!

this game came a real distant from its original.. there is more action then before.. snake is even cooler but all this super human feats make the game feel not so down to earth as before.. this trailer also left out some of the best dialogs in the game..
