Hey Jon. The trackpad indeed is not clickable (by default). But if you go to system preferences you can set the trackpad to be clickable. It will respond to pressure equal to that of a click.

the macbook is alredi an excellent laptop, fast and very simple of use, especially with iPhoto, the pictures u deal with will be easy to be organized. if u need a very good for a reasonable amount laptop take the macbook 13 inch. if u need an excellent laptop and have the budget to buy it, certainly take the macbook pro

yes, it works the same, cost the same. or you can take the easy way out if you already got the cds for the windows and just use bootcamp and make windows run on your mac, then put office on there. i dont use windows anymore. im strict to ubuntu and osx so i use the free version of microsoft office (open office). you might want to try that as well. its free and does all the things mic office does. hope this helps.

it depends. the macbook vs macpro are for 2 different ppl. while the macbook is better suited for average ppl, the pro is better for ppl that play games, editing. if you dont do either, i say save the 1.5k and stay normal.

as for vista, thats where i think he is stupid. why put that crap on. if you hafta use windows, use xp. dont try and be cool and use vista... psss, vista is junk. i use ubuntu in my bc, but i just use that for code based projects.

You Can HAve Both On The Macbook...Apple has made a program called Bootcamp that is made on every new macbook now to be preinstalled. So if you want (even though it looks creepy) put vista on your mac..then do it!

The new MacBooks are AWESOME machines but it's not fair to say they are like 13" versions of the MBP, even if you max out the RAM and get the 2.4GHz. Here's why:

•MB uses a whole different display, downgraded from the MacBook Pro and Air, which have the upgraded one

•You can't get the dual graphics processor or the full 512MB VRAM (dedicated to GPU)

• Can't get full 6 MB Level 2 cache on the MB

• Can get 2.4, 2.53 or 2.GHz in the Pro

• All MBP's have illuminated keyboard

Yes there is a cd drive and yes you can whatch movies.... movies are actually good on this laptop. btw most laptops these days have a cd drive(not the macbook air).

yeh buh i was in a lecture room teh otyehr day 3 hour lecture and bacically i had 48% left...and i had my screen on like lowest brightness and also kept the screen auto off every minute..all i did was type notes on office....took 3 hours to drain 52%
