Lasorda was the only manager I ever saw that changed the outcome of a game by his sheer personality. 1988 NLCS against the NY Mets. Bob Ojeda was in a jam. Lasorda went out to the mound for I believe the 2nd time in the inning to "talk" with Ojeda. This time you could see he was dropping "f-bombs" left and right and I actually saw the words mouthed "what the hell is the matter with you?" The visibly distraught Ojeda promptly "found himself" and got out of the jam. It was all Lasorda.
I don't like listening to such potty mouth talk, BUT, I LOVE Lasorda and MISS him so much! When he wasn't cussing he could keep the team and the fan's spirits SKY high with his pep talks; and NO body loved his Dodgers more than Tommy! Miss you, Tommy! God bless you, always!

Lasorda was the only manager I ever saw that changed the outcome of a game by his sheer personality. 1988 NLCS against the NY Mets. Bob Ojeda was in a jam. Lasorda went out to the mound for I believe the 2nd time in the inning to "talk" with Ojeda. This time you could see he was dropping "f-bombs" left and right and I actually saw the words mouthed "what the hell is the matter with you?" The visibly distraught Ojeda promptly "found himself" and got out of the jam. It was all Lasorda.

I don't like listening to such potty mouth talk, BUT, I LOVE Lasorda and MISS him so much! When he wasn't cussing he could keep the team and the fan's spirits SKY high with his pep talks; and NO body loved his Dodgers more than Tommy! Miss you, Tommy! God bless you, always!
