  • bangin gears son

  • I'm kidding... I love the video! It's badass!

  • Quit short-shifting and it won't chirp... I understand you don't wanna scatter that hemis bottom end all over the asphalt. :)

  • @rockabillyguitarking Scatter a HEMI? That would be difficult to do, the bottom end in those are bullet proof. Cross bolted mains, skirted block, forged everything. Those blocks ruled top fuel late 60s, into the 70s. They kicked major but in just about every class of drag racing and got banned from NASCAR becuase they were to dominant.

  • @Doosterify They got banned twice! In 65 and in 71, the blocks are higher carbon content (makes them stronger), thicker walls, and even today Top Fuel and Funny cars run 500ci Hemi's which are just copies of the 426 Hemi design, even Ford and GM use these. When Hemi's where modified nothing could catch them.

  • charger rt 68/69 is epic!!

  • The motor is a 66 street Hemi done by Arusa. Fun car to drive.

  • You sure know how to make a guy jealous!

    Sweet car, bud.

  • Maybe newer is better, but any motor of today owes itself to what its predecessor taught.

One thing is for sure, newer will never sound better than old school.

  • a new 426 hemi would toast this old 426 because of the newer technology in the motor. dont hate because its true. i am a mopar guy and even though i do like the old muscle, i love the new muscle.

  • Im die hard old school but power for power the new engines kick the old ones ass, with less cubic inches. I have new challenger r/t 6 speed bone stock it will put down 335rwhp and 365rwtq thats a better ci/hp ratio than any stock 426 hemi or dang sure a 440, and doing it with 345 cubic inches, potential between the two is a different story, one has a wider bore spacing and higher deck height thats what makes it a big block, the other has a shorter deck, tighter bore spacing

  • Kick ass car.Too bad chrysler had to defame the original elephant with these new hemis.Wouldn't mind seeing an all around of the car.

  • im sorry but your cars a whor! all of us just cam over her lol

  • im sorry but your cars a whor! all of us just cam over her

  • Question, did 1968 chargers come with a 400 big block, and are they good compared to the 440's. What are the pro's and con's of the 400.

  • @DALE97DSM Big blocks in 68 were 383 426 HEMI and 440

  • @DALE97DSM No a 400 didnt come out til 72, they are a low deck motor like the 383 which it is based, they have thicker webbing between the mains, and while they have a less ci than a 440 they have a bigger bore of 4.380 while the 440's have a 4.320, the difference is the 440 has a longer stroke on the crankshaft. You can turn down the counter weights on a 440 crank to fit a 400 or buy a crank and make it a 451, or throw in a 4.15 stroker crank and make it a 500

  • @ScoopDaddy488 If you get the rotating assembly lightened down and balanced, it can turn some high rpms for a big block, shit 440 rods weigh up to 60 grams heavier than a 454 chevy motor!!!!

  • fuckin hemi 426 big block new hemis are nothing compared to the old big block

  • Where did you get the lift off hood for the 68, i can only find it for 69.

  • @snoopydonvito its the same hood... 68 & 69... that's actually a 69 6bbl hood

  • @dodger65 oh ok thanks, great car you have, i love roadrunners.

  • Thanks for sharing. Hemis are always a good source of entertainment.

  • when i get rubber in all 4 gears!

    Nice

  • Is this a totally stock Hemi motor ?

  • wouldn't surprise me

  • Ya baby!

  • Balls to the wall
