  • @kofguy This guy makes arcade machines look like a joke.

  • your dads an asshole so what that make you

  • no tienes ni idea chaval! lo que haces es meter un ordenador en una caja e instalarle el mame, como si hubieses descubierto el mercurio.

  • @cream4rmsomeyounguy True, but you have to remember, if you buy it pre-assembled, it will always be more expensive.

  • can you buy mame machine that has better user interface then going into windows and add you own games

  • i got an easier one just buy a plug in play tv game and use an old tv that saves all the hard work.

  • @Legoworld439 I don't think you understand the nostalgical effect of an arcade cabinet.

  • #FTW

  • Can you tell me where you got the roms? i assume they were free

  • where did you get the games? were they free? Please answer soon

  • @Wildcat4life95 just go to rom-world for mame

  • VERY smart good for you!

  • that is what i love about mame cabs.

they can be built with all the old spare parts you have laying around.

  • lol who doesnt have an old computer and monitor laying around?

  • only under $100 if you have an old computer and monitor laying around

  • I guess darren got owned lol I'd own em both

  • Can you mount a motherboard to the wood with out a metal backing for grounding? Looks great, I have always wanted to build one of these, and you have inspired me. Great video!

  • i've comnemplated building one myself but not beeing that talented with software, i would just build a casing and stick in an n64 and a set of arcade pads jus attatched to a wooden block itd cost you a bit less and be much simpler

  • hey if you are making an arcade cabinet you should go check out arcadecontrols . com and it's forums for tons of great advice. they helped me so much to make my own

  • anything 90's + needs a pretty good processor. sure you can run most early arcade games on a low spec machine but not many console games (eg n64 or dreamcast) or arcade games made whilst home consoles emerged. sure if you dont mind only playing the classics it is fine but you lose heaps awesome games like sonic and mortal combat.

i picked up my 2.4ghz for free off the side of the road. i would reccommend you spending a little extra time or money to get a better machine

  • the only one that is douchfag is the one who calls everyone a duchfag

  • The celeron processor runs most games perfectly, and integrated graphics keeps the heat and power usage down, and is more than enough for old 8bit and 16bit games.

  • A 400 will run the classics but you need at least a 733 for Capcom / Neo Geo games with 512 RAM.

Using an older o/s like WinMe with MAME is actually better as it uses almost no resources and still has true DOS for the command line version.

    Pretty cool though.

  • even with a 1.0 i couldn't run Street fighter 2 without the sound glitching;)

  • @H011ywo0d Do you have any experience with using Linux as your MAME emulator? I'm working on something with a nice hardwood veneer cabinet for something and am kind of up in the air on which way to go.

  • COOL
