How come Slaughtter & The Dogs hardly EVER get a mention for also playing this gig, I know they got on the wrong side of a lot of people, but hey, you couldn't get much more genuine punk than them, they were Wythenshawe scallies after all !

Because they WEREN'T there on 04/06/76. Only 35-40 people actually attended this gig (organised & attended by an embryonic Buzzcocks - who didn't play) and also attended by Morrissey, Mark E. Smith and members of the as yet unformed Joy Division. The confusion lies in the fact that there was a 2nd gig (20/06/76) which saw Slaughter & the Dogs among the line up & the live debut of The Buzzcocks. This is the gig that everyone supposedly attended (although some people were at both).
