We're doing this production in the spring and I've been looking up information and videos to better familiarize myself with the tone, attitude and environment that the town of Laramie had both before, during and after Matthew's death. I did not at all expect to find this video.....And imagining, no that's not the right word-- KNOWING that a human being was bound and left to die on that fence for 18 hours after being brutally beaten.......It just rips my heart out and makes me so sick.

I watched the Matthew Shepard story for the first time yesterday. I can't get the thought out of my head of him being on that fence on that cold night and all the next day. And, with regard to the nature component, I suppose you mean to say that unless a couple can procreate, it's unnatural for them to have sex or make a life together? Should those who are infertile for whatever reason be forced into celibacy? What about the elderly? They can't make babies anymore--should they be disallowed from having sex? Should your grandparents get divorced?

I don't have to assume anything. Your words make the condition of your heart and your spirit plain as day. It's one thing for you to believe that it's wrong to be gay, and another for you to spit the vile, hateful poison that you do, and to do so as if you are sanctioned by the judeo-christian god. I watched the Matthew Shepard story for the first time yesterday. I can't get the thought out of my head of him being on that fence on that cold night and all the next day. What happened to Matthew has inspired me to do whatever I can to make the world a better place each day. I hope he knows how much of a difference his life has made to this world. At least his family knows.
