@Sroony13 look the difference of Moyer and Farve is Moyer can still throw. He showed it last year before his injury. U can ask any phillies fan and they will tell you that Moyer is a fan favorite.
2 complete games for Moyer, a 2 hit shutout of the dangerous braves...mind you Jason Hayward was out of the lineup that night, but the braves have a solid team and Jamie shut em' down
I like Moyer, and I appreciate his longevity, but he's only had a few seasons where he could be considered an amazing pitcher. Even with longevity, he shouldn't get in the HOF. Hell, Kevin Appier was a better pitcher (but had his peak ended by an injury, and he never really regained his form). The only thing he's had going is longevity and wins, and well, wins are an incredibly overrated stat (for pitchers).
Jamie Moyer was AT the Phils' 1980 parade, not IN it... sure seems like it, though. In fact, he's so old, when you ask him what it was like at the Phils' old home, he says, "Yeah, I can remember, when I was a kid, going to Shibe Park... I mean, Connie Mack Stadium."
Jamie's the man! he's my favorite pitcher on the Phillies because i'm always left amazed wen i watch the placement of his pitches and his fantastic ability of changing speeds, that's y he's able to keep pitching because he doesnt get hurt alot (in pitching not in health) because of it
Jamie was a mofo pitcher for the Mariners! Oh yeah!
