@johnyeros This is probably meant to be a second, light walk around camera. So, someone with a full SLR set up may pick this up. Someone with no camera system at all, would probably be better served with an interchangeable system for more flexibility. But, there are tons of people with full SLR kits that are looking for something like this.
I like where they're going. But I probably wont pick one up myself for a few more generations, maybe the $300 mark. It seems that Fuji recognizes the camera-literate market and it's desire to have a quality, compact (digital) camera of old. I'd like to see a true, coupled rangefinder in a digital camera like that. With a lack of ego and some clever thoughts, I think Fuji can take Canonikon by storm someday; if they could only keep prices down. = {
super good looking camera, it'll be cool to have the leather case as well;; but i guess for entry level i'll go for Canon T3i which just recently adopted the high resolution screen from the 60D without increasing its price.
i just looked at some full size pictures of the x100 and i must say that i'm not very impressed. again design came first. i think this concept is just acceptable equiped with a full frame sensor. leica m9 has to get some competition!
When is the x100 available in the UK?

with the aperture ring on the lens... can you change aperture during video? can you also use the built in ND filter during video?
