  • 'well I've been practicing english' haha ! They must train them for those replies

  • Yes, I know Mulan is Chinese. And yes, kids may not notice tiny details as adults do. I was simply responding to the comment where someone said that this Mulan isn't even Asian. Yes, she was Asian and there is a difference in the "look" between Chinese and Japanese people. I am Chinese, by the way, and I can usually tell the difference. This Mulan was very pretty and I do think she looks like an Asian Taylor Swift. :)

  • @shaunyi so true im chinese too :D

  • @shaunyi OH!!! Asian taylor swift! i THOUGHT she looked familiar! lol

  • Wow. shes gorgeous!

  • This is one of the cutest things I've ever seen. I LOVE this! So adorable! <3

  • I always wanted to be a disney princess - but I'm chubby. And by a disney princess I ment my favorite one Mulan - but i'm not Asian :(

  • Persona100duh is right about Mulan.

And I've been watching these different clips for a bit now and ooooh my gosh Mulan has been one of the best. Tiana and Naveen were amazing!!!

A young woman in my home town is a dead ringer for Mulan and dresses like her on halloween and she gets the most visitors every year lol. My son Emmett flirts with her alllll the time hahaha he is only three

  • She looks like Taylor Swift<3 rijgiegjv

  • @SkateboarderSamVFK maybe that's y she got the job! *jealous*

  • She still looks a lot like Mulan to me. :) Besides, I don't think looking like the character is all that matters; I think it's very important that they are good actors, are good with kids, and are good at improv.

  • MULAN KICKED BUTT. :D Not only was she very pretty, she was really strong. lol Well, actually, more like brave. xD

  • I saw Mulan when I went last year and spazzed out *Please note that I'm 15 xD*

  • She's not a princess, she's the honoured daughter of a war-hero.

    And later, she's a war-hero.

    That's it.

  • @WillyLemon at least Mulan was one of the only female protagonists with some substance

  • @0DemonChild0 She was my favourite, in all honesty. xD;;

  • @WillyLemon i think that's much better than any princess.

  • @FranciePantsss Oh, I agree.

    The only other Disney Princess I actually like is Rapunzal for some reason. >x>;

  • @AnimeChick453 Yeah but Japaneses,Vietnameses, Mongolians or Indonesians dont look the same even if theyre the same race.

  • awwww<33

  • Aww

  • this made me smile

  • Soo envious. :) Mulan is my favorite princess, too.

  • she is the cutest muan!

  • you're so lucky I've been to disney five or six times and I've never seen mulan!

  • They have Mulan?! O:

I can finally die happy now once I go on my Senior Trip there!!! TTwTT

  • rrrrrr why do they always put princesses in the outfits/body states they were trying to escape?! (mulan in tight kimono-thing, ariel in a tail, etc.)

  • @kewlness888 Well I don't think little girls want to see Mulan in a Suit of Armor.

  • @ScarletFire22 Yeah, but having every single heroine wearing a girly dress sends a pretty bad message to girls. One of the reasons why Mulan is so awesome is that she breaks the old standard of princesses being overly feminine and unable to save themselves. She shows that Princesses can be tough, independent and a tomboy. Putting all heroines in some pretty dress makes it seem like there is little to no alternative to the gowns we all know and love.

  • anyway seems like Disney needs more Asian Princes

  • @CasaCamuzzi so true

  • Awwwww, that little girl's eyes are sparkling when she's looking at her (:

  • @AnimeChick453 they are not the same race as a matter of fact japan is an island which broke off of asia 10,000 years ago which would eventually make a difference in the way they look

  • if I could do my life over again.... I would wanna be a princess at a Disney park....getting paid to play dress up with all the little kids all day? omg yes! SHE IS SOOOOO PRETTY. seriously I'm 24 and I wanna meet all the princesses before I DIE!! lol

  • Mulan is my favorite Disney princess as well... I'm debating whether I should be her for Halloween this year...

  • pi yer ou son tit dragon a Moulan quoi yer mort yer dead ya peter au frette!!!!!!!!!!! XD

  • did anyone else catch her mushu impression

  • shes soo preetttyyy!!

  • I have a facebook group for mulan... she's so BA!

  • That mulan looks like an asian version of Taylor swift o-o just saying :D

  • Í wan to work as Captain Sparrow, but I'm a girl -.-

  • @EMOJYTTE I say go for it, he was pretty girly anyway lol

  • @happybunnyntx Well, yeah you're probably right!:D And then, there's one more thing.... I'm only 13 >.<

  • @EMOJYTTE Just wear boots with a bit of a heel to em :D lol If Salma Hayek can dress up as Captain Sparrow in the movie than you can too ^_^

  • @happybunnyntx Oh yeah x'D I have my riding boots?:p And then there's one more thing, i live in Denmark xD

  • @EMOJYTTE Sounds like someone's taking a road trip then!

  • @happybunnyntx Yup x'D

  • @kyuubikid213 ...Tiana is the only black one......

  • She's so pretty!

  • we need atleast one more asian and black princess, disney is fukn racist!

  • @juki0h no they aren't... if they were racist they WOULDN'T have a black or Chinese princess, would they...

  • @Newbell2 they only did that because they didnt want people to become suspicious of them of being racist. walt didnt want this type of minority treatment when he created disneyland, if he was alive today, he would be ashamed of what disney has become, sexist and racist!

  • omg she's so pretty. :O

  • However, at that period of time in China, only people related to the royal family could become captains of the army. Mulan married a captain, making her, if not a princess, part of the royal family.

  • I'm Asian and I know she's Asian too xd

  • This Mulan is Asian. She didn't look Chinese though, I'm pretty sure she was Japanese.

  • @shaunyi err mulan was chinese... the story is from china and the emperor even said "you're the savior of china"...._.;

  • @shaunyi

    Yeah but still pretty. :)

  • @shaunyi I dont think the kids looks into the tiny details like grownups do..

  • can't they use a real asian for mulan?

  • @ChottomatteUyachan She definitely looks Asian. Just not Chinese.

  • I don't care about your logic, if Disney says she's a princess, than she's a princess. They didn't have kings and queens in China, but emperors and she was knighted. Same as Pocahontas and being the chiefs daughter, they are equivalent to a princess, thus they are princesses.

  • This is adorable

  • @ people wondering: Mulan IS a princess. When the Emperor gave her the medallion and sword, he was giving her the title of 'princess of the people' since she saved them from the Huns. Being the Emperor, he can sorta 'knight' whomever he wants. Although... the Emperor bowed to her for her actions and the people of China considered their Emperor equivalent to a god...

    Okay, you're all right. She's not a princess. She's a GODDESS.

Logic and Disney magic have spoken.

    *exits with fairy dust*

  • @Persona100Duh Dude Mulan is Not a princess. When the emperor gave her the medallion and the swaord it was only meaning that she had the honor she always wanted and that she was a warrior of china. Watch the moive again!!!!

  • She's not even Asian!

  • She seems so sweet, I love her <3

  • Mulan is a princess!!!!!!!!! I would know I was her in a play.

  • @Gryffindorgirl1997 She is a Disney princess, but in the movie se is nowhere near to be a royal princess.

  • @Fantasygold2 True, but she's still just as amazing and deserves to be counted as such. In the second movie she marries Shang who is a Great General so she is like a war princess

  • @Gryffindorgirl1997 Just because she is as sweet as a princess doesn't mean she just can be one. But I don't really care if she is or not. I'm still pissed about that Kida isn't a princess though, since she, well, IS a fucking princess xD

  • @Fantasygold2 True but officially she is a Disney Princess there weren't really any "Princesses" in Mulan, but she was offered to be the emporor's advisor which is pretty high up. She was just too good to take it.

  • @Gryffindorgirl1997 There are princesses in Mulan 2. Mulan and Shang are given the job to escort the Emperor's daughters (which they call princesses throughout the movie) to their arranged marriages.

  • @nickjoekevinrox Yes I know I was refering to the first movie

  • So apparently seeing Mulan is rare? Guess I'm lucky, then. Last time we were there, she walked right past us, then stopped so we could take a picture with her. ^_^

  • I was so happy. This year, when my family and I went to Disneyland, Mulan just happened to be there! We all screamed "MULAN!". It gave her quite a fright. I'm so happy your daughter was able to see her as well. They both look so cute. :)

  • I'm currently doing research to see if Mulan is actually a Disney princess....I want to say NO, but then it seems like we would be missing one. Also, the Disney "princesses" are from all over the world and Mulan is the only asian one...

  • @kyuubikid213 I agree. I dont think shes ACTUALLY a princess and not that I dont want her to be one, maybe they count her as one becuase the emperor recognizes her but that was just for saving his life. Megara should be counted as a princess bc technically Hercules in the movie is a prince since Zues and Hera are king and queen of Olympus. Ive been jotting notes down during my 'Disney movie days' but yeah Mulans not really a princess but I guess we should have a quic talk with her emperor lol

  • @kyuubikid213 Kida is a princess, but Disney doesn't let her be one of the "Disney princesses". That sucks.

  • @kyuubikid213 well, you know jamines a south ASIAN princess. For you to say asians are uunderrepresented is just saying that brown people arent represented as asians. >.>

  • @rockstarjenlol Yeah, they are asian...but they are South Asian which the rest of the world gives the title(s) Indian or Arabic. Mulan is Asian in the sense that EVERYONE knows. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Laotian, etc...

  • @kyuubikid213 She's not, she's a warrior not a princess, and she married a warrior not a prince so she can't be a princess :(

  • @kyuubikid213 - Mulan is an Official Disney Princess. Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan, Tiana, and Rapunzel. (in that order)

  • @kyuubikid213 I always said no... But in the 2nd movie she does marrie a prince.... however mushu breaks the wedding up so she can marrie li shang so in a way she is.... if you count the second movie

  • @kyuubikid213

I think she counts as a princess...she's been rewarded by the emperor because she saved China, so I guess she could technically be a knight, so....Dame Mulan?

  • @kyuubikid213 :/ yeah but she marries a General not a King or Prince. Mulan is definitly NO Princess....but somehow that makes her even cooler :D

  • She sounds exactly like Mulan!

  • awwwwww! she is so adorable!

  • soooooooo cute

  • cute! :D
