They trashed the PlayStation 3 development due to it being too expensive and with no real chance of becomming profitable for the systems low records at the time.

You don't need to get a new Xbox 360 Elite. It was originally released in 2007 so you should still have warranty coverage - let the guys who chipped your unit repair it, as it's their fault you can't send it in to Microsoft for (guaranteed) repairs or replacement.

Actually your post doesn't seem to make much of a point. It's about marketing the high definition TV's and spinning up a tiny bit more modern medium up the living room.

The PC is i hobby, consoles are just a part of the gaming hobby platform. There's no really hot games in development for the PC apart from perhaps Warhammer 40K 2 summer next year and no developments being done what so ever. Hardware ofcourse changes, but software and features remains.

Developers are using computers to make the games, quite obviously, but the PC is not the system of choice for games anymore. The console market just got so many new and fantastic games the PC is put to shame as a extremely expensive "fuck-you" to the consumer.

Consoles are cheaper to buy, cheaper to develop games for, the development process is trimmed significantly, and there's a bigger non-piracy market. I'd say publishers choose consoles before PCs these days.

But look at how the market works today. no developers takes time to do PC-exclusives and consoles gets all the games these days while the PC is just an expensive alternative.

I'd personaly rather play an FPS on a computer. There is nothing more annoying than a little joystick to aim. You got to hold it in place and everything. It just plain sux (add all the annoying teens on xbox live to the equation). For the other games? Sure the consoles have a lot of games but nothing compared to a computer. RTS on a console would be plain horrible. Same goes with Online RPGs. I do own a couple of consoles, but my computer is definitly my best pal.

That's becuase you're not familiar with the controls. Personally I prefer controllers as they're more relaxed and just feels better to use, while the computer-based input methods are a bit more accessable but will require more things to be taken into consideration to ensure no harm is done when using it.

Play the game to realise how it actually is, there's a demo out since a couple of weeks back. I was walking a bit too much on foot in this video as it was during one of my first sessions, so I didn't have everything clear at that point. There's alot of vehicles and close bases.

i kno. i have played the frontline demo. i hate it compared to BC cause the maps are so big that u have to walk for ages until u find 1 or 2 ppl to kill. BFBC still has large scale maps but not so much that it becomes awkward.

I agree many PC-ports suck, just look at GRAW. It rocked on Xbox360/PS3 in terms of visuals, controls, animations, everything was extremely polished and got a whole bunch of lovely features and settings. The PC version had three colors; Grey, Brown and dark brown and had no plot or visuals at all. Many games fits consoles better but there's also games that fits the PC the best due to controls - even if I find the controllers more relaxed than keyboard/mouse.

Can't argue with that. Just saying it doesn't look like a very..."eye-opening" game. It doesn't introduce a new engine and it's just leeching off the unreal engine. BF Bad Company is revolutionary and built from the ground up, this is just ordinary.

All it does is add a bit more explosion-focused mechanism into it while not being technicly or practicly superior to any other engine (especially not Unreal 3 and 3.5 including more destrucability). But Bad Company looks Very promising and I certainly hope the Demo will be great since I've already planned a bit of a gang-up when it launches to give it a serious try-out the 5th of June.

When you try the BF Bad Company demo note that you can be shooting a guy in the face like 5 times with a shotgun and it doesn't kill him because a little tree branch is in the way. If you find the game cheap then it might be worth the time - I'm a bit sceptic to buying it as it is rather costy while not being finished. As far as I know VoIP is still not intergrated which is the most vital feature to the game to establish a solid team-play communication platform which is today basicly all lacking.
