How do you do the selection thing with the hair after you color it?

Use the polygonal lasso tool. If you don't know which one that is, just hover over each button and a smart tag should pop up telling you the name of the buttons.

Hey, I saw your videos, and I think they are amazing. I usually edit manga scans, for my RP OC character, but I don't bother in doing the shading or anything like that, since usually some of the scans I have already have that in it.. But I'm really impressed on how you give some manga scans shading, when they don't have it. I would not be able to do that.

I honestly don't have the patience to do all the layers and whatnot. xD; I tried to vector a few days ago, but I just gave up.

was there any specific brushes for the eyelashes?did you just get a darker tone for the color in shading?

No brush for the eyelashes. I did it with the smear tool. You can download eyelash brushes though.

For the skin, yeah, just a darker tone.

Shading and lighting give depth to a picture and gives it the appearance of a real photo or an anime picture. It's usually the placement of the shading and lighting that most people have to practice.
