Easy man, let's keep it cool! I think it's very impressive! As a Martial Artist myself for 25 years now, I see her skill. never mind what form she is doing. There are several things she did that I still cannot do. Besides what she is doing IS an Olympic style form. It's meant for show. That does not make it unimpressive though. You still have to give credit where it is due. But I do recognize it as a simple show.
@soldierfalcon What makes you think that? As a martial artist myself, I assure you she is quite skilled. Though this particular form was practiced to flawlessness before this was filmed. Her style seems a little unorthodox. It seems like a fair bit of kung fu mixed with a lot of taekwondo. I have not seen this show, but it seems to me that it is similar to one I have seen, meant to give a mortal kombat feeling.
I said that because none of her strikes have any power at all. Just like XMA, the entire routine is designed to be flashy, showy, and impressive looking. It's a lot like Hollywood martial arts. Real martial arts are very subtle and require a lot of power and focus. An unfortunate fact about unarmed fighting is that the bigger and stronger person usually wins.. None of the MMA guys are 90 lbs and dance like ballerinas. I've seen real combat and it looks nothing like this.
@soldierfalcon LOL You are right about the her not putting any power behind her strikes. This enables her to move faster for the camera. A sad fact to training is that you often sacrifice skill when doing this. As I said before, she is quite skilled. Her form is flawless! She has obviously practiced it over and over. However, she would still have to have a good understanding of Martial Arts in general to even make it look flashy. All of her strikes are still done correctly, though missing power.
I don't think I ever necessarily said that the gal in question here is not a martial artist or doesn't know any real martial arts. All I have said is that this clip is a show, and anyone who has actually studied any real, combat-oriented art or style will recognize it as such.
That grace can be achieved through dance as well. The fact is that what she is doing for this show is pretty much exactly what Olympic gymnasts do with the inclusion of pajama ninjas as props.
Like I said, I'm not saying she doesn't know any real martial arts, but this display (from a martial arts perspective) is about as impressive as "The Nutcracker".
I've seen Chloe compete as well and she is definately impressive. It takes lots of dedication to keep that flexible. However as far as fighting, most of those kicks don't have enough power to do anything. the higher the kick the less power she has. So even though they are cool, she would never use anything like that in a actual fight.
I've seen Chloe Bruce compete, and I have to say it's impressive to witness firsthand. How flexible she is amazing, but there is a drawback to it. Her hyper-flexibility is going to give her hip problems later in life and she knows that.
As for all of her forms being the same, not exactly, this is one of her signature forms that has become very popular and she usually uses it for form grands at the tournaments where i've seen her.
And to Sicamated, don't underestimate her. Trust me

I challenge her to a fight...Chloe Bruce ain't that great. If she gets this message, I will bet her a lot of money I can kick her ass with NO problem. A deal? I'm invincible.
Chloe Bruce....her shine has died out for me...at first i thought she was awesome...but after seeing 20 videos of "different" forms and seeing she's a one-trick-horse....it's gone...the flexibility is awesome....but it's always the same shit, high kicks, handless flips, that weird leg turn (0:33) and the split position (0:27), the raising leg whilst turning at (0:11)and then the continued kicking......she's done it SOOOOOOO many times..
Better to practise one kick a thousand times, than a thousand kicks one time. She's still very young, with that speed, flexibility and co-ordination I think she's got a bright future in the field of martial arts.
so sexy

@soldierfalcon I believe this particular form was put together for the show. I was referring to her fluid movements.
