i dont think isogai has ever made a 48" shell...36"? maybe...this was at the omagari festival in japan (amazing fireworks...better than yung feng??? can't make up my mind) isogai has made some extremely nice 36" shells in the past though...

regardless...no crater. it's in a big ass steel tube most likely dug into the ground. it launches like any other firework shell, just makes more noise. it is not going to make a crater.

While I do not have any "inside information" on this shell, I suspect it is an exhibition shell, hand made (like most shells still are) by a master craftsperson working in a commercial set up.

Now that's a 12" I'd be proud of!!!!!!!!!
